Join us as we breakdown some game film from events and take a look at some teams and prospects in the state. Today, we are looking at Indiana Game Select 2023 from the Legacy Court Open Run.
A.J. Lux A.J. Lux 6'3" | SG Crown Point | 2023 State IN – #5 6’2 PG 2023 – Crown Point (IN)
Lux is a guard that has a long body. Pretty talented player that can switch on and off the ball. Has some solid handles that pairs well with his slashing ability. Did not shoot it a ton so did not get a good look at his jumper. Showed off his excellent court vision and delivered a bunch of good passes. Lux has the talent and skill to be one of the better guards in his class.
Keaton Buuck Keaton Buuck 6'6" | PF Crown Point | 2023 IN – #41 6’5 PF 2023 – Crown Point (IN)
Buuck is tall forward that looks to have grown a little bit more since the last time we saw him. Very good rebounder and gives his team a ton of opportunities for second chance buckets. Looks to have some shooting ability but needs to be a little more consistent. Sticks in the post area more often than not and does a good job there on both ends. Overall, Buuck looks to still have some untapped potential and could end up being a very good power forward.
Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN – #11 6’5 PF 2023 – Culver Academy (IN)
Farrall is a stretch forward with a load of talent. Very good shooter with a smooth stroke and proved that by knocking down a ton of 3’s in both games. Real powerful and can grab a lot of rebounds. One of his underrated skills is his ability to handle the ball well and make some moves towards the rim. Farrall should continue to be one of the best prospects in the 2022 class.
Ty Schumacher – #32 6’0 PG/SG 2023 – North Judson (IN)
Schumacher is a combo guard that has a strong frame and looks to play more off the ball. Looks to be more suited as a shooting guard. Tends to think a little too much it looks like. Had a nice baseline drive from the corner. Has a good shot but just needs to let his game flow a little bit more.
Karson Colin – #34 6’3 SG 2023 – Lake Central (IN)
Colin is a big shooting guard with some power. Solid shooter right now and had a 3 off the catch. Plays a good amount in the post area and is a strong rebounder. Has the size and ability to guard multiple positions and play as a guard or forward. Keep an eye on Colin because he might be a little overlooked right now.
Myles Yekich – #2 5’8 PG 2023 – Lake Central (IN)
Yekich is a small lead guard with some good ball handles. His size does not really hold him back yet as he was one of better drivers of the day. Did not really shoot that much and when he did his jumper looked a bit off. Did a good job in locating his teammates and giving out good passes. Size could end up being an issue but Yekich just needs to continue to get better. Could be really good by his senior year if he works at it.
