Join us as we breakdown some game film from events and take a look at some teams and prospects in the state. Today, we are looking at Indiana Game 2022 from the Legacy Court Open Run.
Trey Steinhilber – #12 6’0 PG 2022 – Boone Grove (IN)
Steinhilber is a lanky and thin point guard that has some talent in him. Had a couple of nice shots in the first game like his 3 off the catch and his spin-move, pull-up jumper. Has a good amount of quickness but sometimes is a little out of control. Also had a real nice block in the second game. Steinhilber is the type of player that has the talent to get better and be really good by his senior year.
Xander Poulos – #6 5’10 PG 2022 – Valparaiso (IN)
Poulos is a smaller lead guard that has some good handles. Arguably was the best defender on his team and had a few stops and steals. Even had a block that showed off his high vertical. On offense he had fadeaway jumper inside the 15ft range and crossed a defender then nailed a pull-up shot on him. Overall is a solid player that will be a key piece for Valparaiso.
Michael Flynn – #3 6’2 SG 2022 – Valparaiso (IN)
Flynn is a bigger shooting guard that is pretty smart. Used his size well to make a few defensive stops. His shot was a little off the first game but he shot much better in the second. Has a smooth shot but just needs to be more consistent. Also needs to probably add some more speed and strength as well. Overall, Flynn is a solid prospect that could turn out to be a great shooter.
Grant St. Aubin – #22 6’4 SF 2022 – Valparaiso (IN)
St. Aubin is a tall and strong forward that plays really hard. He was the most aggressive player on his team and arguably the most aggressive on the floor in both games. Had a ton of rebounds and fought really hard for them. His scoring was mostly in the post area so it will be interesting to see if he ever develops an outside shot. St. Aubin is worth keeping an eye on.
Matt Zdanowicz – #25 6’1 SG 2022 – Crown Point (IN)
Zdanowicz is a smaller guard that is pretty strong. Has a tough playing style and was good on the boards. Looks like he could be a pretty good shooter as he had a nice 3 off the catch. Probably needs to add some more size to his frame as that could potentially hold him back. Solid prospect that will be good for Crown Point in the long term.
Cameron Andrews – #15 5’11 PG 2022 – Washington Township (IN)
Andrews is a smaller point guard that could end up transitioning into a shooting guard. Did not shoot it a ton but when he did shoot his shot it looked good. Also had a good cut to the rim for 2 points. Rebounded well and was strong about it. Interested to see what kind of guard Andrews will turn out to be.
Carter Delich – #2 6’0 PG 2022 – Crown Point (IN)
Delich is a long and thin point guard. He was a little quiet in the first game but did a good job in getting himself involved more in the second game. Had a big block in the second game. Looks to have a nice shot but needs to start hitting at a more consistent level. The big area of focus for Delich will be for him to start adding some size but overall he looks to have some upside to his game.
