Join us as we breakdown some game film from events and take a look at some teams and prospects in the state. Today, we are looking at Indiana Game Select 2022 from the Legacy Court Open Run.
Travis Grayson Travis Grayson 5'10" | PG Chesterton | 2022 State IN – #2 5’10 PG 2022 – Chesterton (IN)
Grayson is a tough, physical lead guard who is built on his dribble-drive game. Slashes well an can get to the basket almost any time he wants. Decent looking shot but did not knock down a ton of jumpers. Type of player that is just going to get better and better. Just plain tough all-around.
Breece Walls Breece Walls 6'0" | PG Valparaiso | 2022 State IN – #4 6’0 PG 2022 – Valparaiso (IN)
Breece is a quick, shifty point guard who is creative. Great passer and can dish it off to his teammates well. Great handles that get the defender off balance quite a few times. Has a nice shot release but just needs to be more consistent with his jumper. Underrated point guard to keep an eye on these next couple of years.
Drew Adzia Drew Adzia 5'9" | PG Crown Point | 2022 State IN – #10 5’10 PG 2022 – Crown Point (IN)
Adzia is a small guard with quickness and handles. Real aggressive at times. Jumper was solid with a quick release. Pretty smart on when to attack and make a play on offense. Type of player that could develop into a solid point guard.
Reece Marrs – #22 5’11 PG 2022 – Hebron (IN)
Marrs is a smaller lead guard has a strong frame. True lead guard and does not look to score first. Drives pretty well and dishes the ball off fairly well. Would to have liked to see a bit more offense from him but overall he was solid from what what I saw.
Jacob Zezovski – #0 6’0 PG 2022 – Lake Central (IN)
Zezovski is a tall guard with a long body. Offense was a little quiet at times but did have a nice side-step 3 in the second half of the first game. Right now he is more of lead guard but could see him being more suited as a pure shooting guard at the next level. Needs to focus on adding some more size and getting stronger. Solid player that could breakout soon especially if he starts being lights out from beyond the arc.
Lincoln Thomae Lincoln Thomae 6'3" | SG Victory Christian | 2022 State IN – #3 6’2 SG 2022 – Victory Christian (IN)
Thomae is a well built guard with a tall body and long arms. Shot looked a bit off but he did keep shooting his shot when he had a chance. Had a few rebounds on both ends. Does a good job in always moving in the offense and not staying in one spot. Could end up bring a good defender.
Nick Mikash Nick Mikash 6'4" | SF Kankakee Valley | 2022 State IN – #14 6’4 SF 2022 – Kankakee Valley (IN)
Mikash is a solid wing with some size and versatility. Pretty athletic and skilled. Can switch between a guard and forward at times. Looks pretty comfortable as an interior forward but good on the wing too. Had a block on the defensive end. Ton of untapped potential in Mikash.
Jalen Bullock Jalen Bullock 6'7" | PF Calumet New Tech | 2022 State IN – #5 6’6 PF 2022 – Michigan City (IN)
Bullock is a big, bruising post player. Real power and great rebounder. Did a very nice job in not forcing anything in the post and would pass it back to the guards if he did not have an opening for a potential score. He is a guy that should really grow into his game because he’s mobile, long, and strong now. Good amount of potential in Bullock.
Lavonta Ash – #34 6’6 PF 2022 – Merrillville (IN)
Ash is a tall and lanky power forward. Little raw right now but did showoff some good things. Good off the pick and roll and can score the ball in the post. Had a nice left hook, post shot. Does look like he may have the ability to be come a stretch 4 if he develops a jumper. Could be some upside in Ash.
Eric Price Jr. – #11 6’6 C 2022 – Gary 21st Century (IN)
Price Jr. is a huge post player. Looked to have some solid footwork and post up ability. Real good rebounder and was great about boxing out. Needs to probably slim down a little which should add some more speed and agility for him. Has the size to work with and mold into a solid prospect with the right help.
Thomas Barone Thomas Barone 6'11" | C Bosco Institute | 2022 State IN – #50 6’10 C 2022 – Valparaiso (IN)
Barone is a big post player with legit size. Very physical and just looks like he would prefer to play through contact. Runs the floor well and has a good amount of quickness. He has improved a ton overall especially with his rebounding and scoring. He is one of those post players that schools will be calling sooner rather than later.
