Kamari Mcgee Kamari Mcgee 6'0" | PG Racine St. Catherine's | 2021 State WI continues to prove himself as a top guard in 2021
You might not be able to tell it by just looking at the stat sheet, but McGee has a big impact on PGC’s 17U squad. The 5-foot-10 point guard out of Racine St. Catherines is a terrific defender who always plays at 100 percent. I love the way that McGee is able to fluster his opponents with great on-ball defense. On offense, McGee is an unselfish player who is always looking to find open teammates. The PG also does a really good job of finding creative ways to finish around the rim. McGee would be a huge steal for any mid-major D1 program.
Battle for the top spot in 2022 class gets more interesting
Jeffery Brazziel Jeffery Brazziel 6'4" | SF Martin Luther | 2022 #159 Nation AZ and Leon Bond Leon Bond 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa East | 2022 State #62 Nation WI both had impressive weekends at the Midwest Showdown. Brazziel displayed his rapidly improving outside shot, while Bond continued to make highlight play after highlight play. At this point, Brazziel probably has the more complete game, but Bond’s skill on defense and in transition could make him a more attractive prospect down the road. I think that Brazziel has earned the number one spot for now. The Milwaukee Destiny small forward has performed really well this summer. However, if Bond has a big junior season, the Tosa East star could become the top player in Wisconsin’s 2022 class.
Jasin Sinani Jasin Sinani 6'3" | SG Oak Creek | 2021 State WI is an underrated prospect in the 2021 class
Sinani is a prospect that really impressed in Appleton this past weekend. Leading Wisconsin RAP to the championship game in their bracket, Sinani was unstoppable as a scorer. When the shooting guard has the ball in his hands, he can do whatever he wants. Sinani can shoot it well from outside, knock down mid-range jumpers, and make contested layups at the rim. Heading into his senior season at Oak Creek, college coaches need to keep an eye on Sinani.
Wisconsin Playground Club 16U continues to dominate
Since the 2020 AAU season started, Wisconsin Playground Club 16U has not lost a game. Led by Jeffery Brazziel Jeffery Brazziel 6'4" | SF Martin Luther | 2022 #159 Nation AZ , Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI , Jack Campion Jack Campion 5'10" | PG Milton | 2022 State WI , Luke Haertle Luke Haertle 6'2" | SG Lake Country Lutheran | 2022 State WI , Casey Verhagen Casey Verhagen 6'0" | PG Sheboygan Area Lutheran | 2022 State WI , and Andrew Alia Andrew Alia 6'2" | SG Kenosha St. Joseph | 2022 State WI , PGC has run through the competition. This past weekend in Appleton, Playground went 4-0 and won the Passion bracket championship. This squad has clearly proven that they are one of the top AAU teams in the state of Wisconsin.
Greyson Pritzl Greyson Pritzl 6'3" | SG West Allis Central | 2022 State WI and Micah Causey Micah Causey 5'9" | PG St. Thomas More | 2022 WI make a statement
Before this event, I had not seen too much of Pritzl or Causey. But after watching both guards play in Appleton, I left impressed. Pritzl is a terrific overall scorer who can get buckets from all three levels. Causey may be undersized, but his height doesn’t limit him in the slightest. The 5-foot-9 point guard is able to drive into the lane and create open shots for his teammates. In future AAU tournaments, I think that this duo can cause some damage.
