9. Peninsula Catholic
Given the amount of talented guards on the roster, I will briefly review 4 of them, as it is up in the air who will start.
Malcolm Velmar- 5’11 2023. As a rising freshman, Velmar is an exciting guard prospect. Velmar is amazing running the pick and roll game and he is already a lockdown perimeter defender.
Stylz Gardner- 5’10 2022. Stylz Gardner is a high IQ guard who knows how to get hia shots. Gardner was one of the best 3 point shooters in Virginia last year, and is absolutely lethal if left unattended.
Myles Teal- 6’0 2021. Teal is an incredible athlete as a combo guard. A blur on the court, Teal can help any team in need of a guard who brings energy and the ability to change momentum in games.
Jaden Curry- 5’9 2021. Curry averaged over 9 assists per game last season and could very well do so again. Curry is a natural leader who uses his quickness to help get in the paint to dish out to shooters or dump off to the big.
