Triple Double Prospects and Miami Valley Hoop Vault came together to put on a great event. In this piece, I will highlight the 5 top performers from the event as these individuals saw their stock rise after strong showings at the event.
Adam Duvall Adam Duvall 6'6" | PF Beavercreek | 2022 State OH (2022) 6’6 PF Beavercreek- While not the most athletic player on the floor, Duvall works his tail off and makes up for it with his persistence and length. He continuously crashed the glass and wanted the ball more than opponents. Found a way to put the ball in the basket through traffic. He impressed with his ability to get up and down the floor but concerned me as he spent much of his time on the perimeter. While he can handle the ball he struggled to get by defenders one-on-one.
Courtney Blake (2021) 6’2 SG Trotwood-Madison- Deuce played well on the perimeter and overall was one of my bigger stock risers. A straight slasher with an incredible handle of the ball. Consistently found the lane and was too tough to defend with his quick crossover. Able to create his own shot.
Layne Sarver Layne Sarver 6'4" | SF Tri-Village | 2022 State OH (2022) 6’6 SF Tri-Village- Lengthy wing; elevates on both ends of the floor. Long armed with a solid frame. Persistent rebounder and gets up with both hands for rebounds. Can pull up from the midrange and elevate over defenders for shots. Had a solid sophomore season last year and should explode even further this upcoming season.
Cameron Harrison Cameron Harrison 6'0" | PG National Trail | 2021 State OH (2021) 6’0 PG National Trail- High hustle kid. Competes on the defensive end and plays with a high motor. Quick and high release allows him to get shots off at a fast pace. Moves without the ball and sets screens while also leading on the floor. The best part, Harrison took a charge during the open gym.
Rich Rolf Rich Rolf 6'6" | PF Centerville | 2022 State OH (2022) 6’7 PF Centerville- Technically a Power Forward, but played more like a Wing Wednesday night. Can handle the basketball at a high level. Intriguing as he can also defend the perimeter as well as the post. Needs to add some weight on him, but overall a high level prospect.
