We will be breaking down each conference starting with the Class of 2021 first to show college coaches who they need to be placing a value on heading into the year.
We will continue to go through each conference to try and hit as many players as possible with the hopes of helping these seniors-to-be catch the attention of prospective college coaches.
Cooper Langfelt – Fremont-Mills
A nice late-season surge helped Fremont-Mills push towards a winning record, and the Knights will attempt to do just that this winter behind Class of 2021’s Cooper Langfelt.
Langfelt, a starter last year, scored 186 points on almost 40 percent shooting from the field. He also produced a team-leading 145 rebounds with 39 assists, 29 steals and 17 blocked shots.
Tucker Hadden – Essex
Not much went right for Essex last year, but Tucker Hadden will try to turn that around this winter.
The Class of 2021 guard/forward is coming off a season in which he scored 128 points with 84 rebounds, 44 assists, 24 steals and 10 blocks. He led the Tigers in assists and steals, and was second in scoring and rebounding.
Jayden Amend – Griswold
Jayden Amend made the most of his time on the court last year for Griswold, scoring 123 points with 47 rebounds in 11 games. He shot just under 40 percent from both the field and three-point line.
Amend also produced 17 assists and 15 rebounds, sinking 63 percent of his free throws.
New Griswold coach Jake Speer will be counting on Amend to ease his transition from assistant to head coach this winter.
Mitchell McCord – Heartland Christian
To flirt with another winning record, Heartland Christian will need Mitchell McCord to lead the way.
McCord saw plenty of time on the court last year, as the Class of 2021 Eagle scored 112 points with 42 rebounds, 19 steals and 16 assists. He knocked down 31 three-pointers in all.
With a pair of seniors gone to graduation, Heartland Christian will need more out of McCord and those back in the fold.
Colby Royal – Stanton
It was a memorable regular season for Stanton, as they went 18-3 overall before bowing out to a tough CAM squad in the substate quarterfinal.
While the Vikings graduate leader Tyler Peterson Tyler Peterson 6'1" | SG Stanton | 2020 State IA , they do return Colby Royal.
The Class of 2021 player came off the bench last year but still produced. He finished with 43 steals in 20 games, adding 74 points, 53 rebounds and 33 assists.
