Jamiir Allen Jamiir Allen 6'0" | CG Wisconsin Lutheran | 2023 State WI – G – ABC Young Lions
Allen is going to be a nice player for Wisconsin Lutheran. The 6-foot combo guard is an aggressive guard that can score in bunches. Allen has some nice added length, which allows the lefty to finish over bigger defenders. He can shoot it from all over the floor and break down defenders off the dribble. Allen is a high volume scorer with the potential to put up some big numbers.
Ezra Brown Ezra Brown 5'8" | PG Appleton West | 2023 State WI – PG – Wisconsin Blizzard
Brown can handle the rock and really fools defenders at times. The 5-foot-8 floor general has some of the best ball handling skills on the Prep Hoops circuit. He’s got a deadly crossover that leaves defenders in the dust. Brown also knows how to create shots with those handles as well. The Appleton West guard has a good-looking stroke and can knock it down even when he’s drifting away from the bucket. Brown has shown strong ability to create offense in the half court by breaking down defenders and generating quality, rhythm jumpers.
Aidan Chislom Aidan Chislom 6'5" | SF McFarland | 2023 State WI – F – Wisconsin Starz Elite
Playing up in the 16U Division, Chislom showed plenty of upside. The 6-foot-4 combo forward has some nice length and athleticism to him. Chislom pulls bigs away from the rim and shoots it well from 3-point range. He also shows some nice mismatch potential, being able to put the ball on the floor and even pull-up in the mid-range. Chislom is still pretty raw, but his older brother, who’s now at UW-Whitewater, was a late bloomer and turned into a physical specimen by his senior year. Chislom can expect to be ranked when the next update comes out.
Drew Edmond Drew Edmond 6'0" | PG Brookfield Central | 2023 State WI – PG – Phenom University
Asked around and there’s been some good feedback on Edmond. A JV performer for Brookfield Central as a freshman, Edmond is expected to be a nice role player for a loaded Lancer squad in 2020-21. A skilled, high-IQ floor general, Edmond plays with very good balance, patience, and floor awareness. He’s also got plenty of size and strength for the point guard position.
Bennett Fried Bennett Fried 6'6" | SF La Crosse Central | 2023 State WI – SF – Coulee Country
Fried has quietly been making a name for himself on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He appeared sparingly for La Crosse Central last season, but has shown a lot of flashes in July and could have a breakout sophomore campaign now that the Red Raiders will be in rebuilding mode. Fried has terrific positional size and length at 6-foot-4. The lanky wing shoot it well, handles the ball, and can attack off the bounce.
Jackson Green Jackson Green 5'11" | CG Madison Memorial | 2023 WI – G – JH1 Elite
A speedy, athletic guard that can get up and down in transition and live at the rim, Green is good-looking uptempo guard. Green is a smooth operator with the ball in his hands and absorbs contact really well at the rim.
William Whorton William Whorton 6'8" | PF Rufus King | 2023 State WI – F – Wisconsin Playground Club
Horton has some of the best upside in the 2023 class. The Milwaukee King forward has a long way to go, but you can’t teach this type of length and frame. Horton is a 6-foot-8 sophomore that shows the ability to play either the small or forward position. He’s a little more perimeter-oriented right now, which provides optimism to develop into a mismatch nightmare.
Jeremy Lorenz Jeremy Lorenz 6'8" | PF Brillion | 2023 State WI – F – Wisconsin Crusaders
Lorenz has some exciting talent. The 6-foot-4 combo forward looks really good when attacking the rim. Lorenz has quick feet for his size and was quite decisive when knifing to the bucket. As a freshman, Lorenz put up 13.4 points per game for Brillion last season. He can also play up and down in transition and shoot the ball a little bit in the halfcourt. A little bit of a tweener combo forward right now, Lorenz certainly has a lot of mismatch potential in his future.
Cole Sciortino Cole Sciortino 6'3" | SG Menomonee Falls | 2023 WI – SG – Champman Basketball Academy
Sciortino has plenty of tools to work with and has the makings of being a quality two-guard. A sleeper in the 2023 class right now, Sciortino can do a little bit of everything. The Menomonee Falls native looks like a two-way player that gives equal effort on both ends. Sciortino shoots it well from all areas of the floor and has a feel for when to take the outside shot versus trying to get in the mid-range or all the way to the bucket.
Jamisen Young Jamisen Young 6'0" | PG Sunrise Christian Academy | 2023 KS – G – World Hoops Elite
Like the way Young can operate in space. He’s a very elusive and decisive decision maker in the open floor. When the game has an up and down pace, Young can make a lot of things happen. 1-on-1, Young is very difficult to stop and does a great job of shaking off defenders and winning at the point of attack.
