was a kid I heard a lot about but never got the chance to see play live until this event, and boy was he impressive. Wright got to the rack so easy, he didn’t have to force his way in or anything. He sizes his man up, gets them moving with his jab step, and then blows by them with his lightning-quick first step. Even after teams found a way to slow down his penetration, he beat them with his deadly pull-up. Erin’s dribble to shooting motion is very smooth, he gets the shot up quick and easy; it’s obvious that he has put a lot of time and effort into perfecting his shot off the dribble. When tightly guard, he wasn’t phased much, Erin continued to find a way to get his shots up and make them count; an efficient weekend for him from the field and from the beyond the arc. Their wasn’t a single team in the tournament that had an answer for

, he was unguardable out there. He let it be known that he’s the top dog as he finished the tournament with the most points scored. Dallas is filled with talent but Wright is definitely the most overlooked, he’s highly underrated and his stock is about to skyrocket.

proved that his game is on a college level, he’s looking more than ready to end his senior year with a bang.
Most Outstanding PerformanceJalen Mcgee – Point Guard – Abilene Select – Abilene High School – C/o 2021
Jalen McGee had a game so insane that all the spectators in stands were talking about his play. McGee got his team going right away, he came out the gate hot. In the first half, Jalen scored 8 straight points on 3 possessions, two deep threes, and a layup; showed a superb ability to create space, get to, and shoot from any spot on the floor. His deep range pull-up couldn’t be stopped on, he finished the game with 5 total three-pointers; he’ll have no trouble shooting the college range three when that time comes. McGee was the smallest player but made the biggest impact, he actually drew double and triple teams and still found a way to make a play by finding an open man. Everything they did ran through Jalen, a true floor general. Jalen McGee’s outstanding performance led Abilene Select to a shocking one-point victory over Texas Swish; the following he day he helped lead his team to the championship game.
Top Rebounder
Jaden Robinson – Forward – Texas Swish – International Leadership of Texas – C/o 2021
Jaden did several things well this weekend, but his rebounding stood out the most. Robinson went up high and hard when snagging rebounds at their peak, he created plenty of second-chance opportunities for Texas Swish with his effort on the boards. Jaden Robinson played his role at a high level the entire weekend.
X-FactorJoshua Beall – Guard – Texas Swish – Cedar Hill High School – C/o 2021
True impact player, everything he did on the court made a difference in the outcome of the game.
Beall has college-ready game, he’s an all-around ballplayer with the prototypical skillset for his position. He can get you buckets and give you top-notch effort on defense, he’s willing to do what is asked of him and much more. He showed off his dangerous jumpshot, high arcing quick release with perfect elevation. It was clear that Joshua Beall was the go-to guy, he kept the flow of the offense going, didn’t need to hog the ball in order to be an effective scorer, and did his part when it came to closing games out. In their final game, Joshua Beall went off and led the game in scoring when it counted the most.
Glue GuyCharles Walker – Forward – Texas Swish – International Leadership of Texas High School – C/o 2021
Charles Walker was the most important piece for Texas Swish, he held everything together on both ends of the court. Walker plays with great versatility, fluid athleticism, incredible length, and game-changing defense. He’s also equipped with a high basketball IQ, his awareness was off the charts, very aware of everything happening on the court, at all times; he picked up the slack and did the dirty work; Walker is the type of player every team needs to be successful. A natural-born leader, very verbal, he calls out everything he sees and keeps his guys on alert. Charles Walker kept Texas Swish levelheaded and calm when things weren’t going well for them, his leadership and maturity on the court were noteworthy.
