Las Vegas Punishers, Utah Premier, AZ Factory, Utah Prospects, JM Elite, Utah Prospects 16U and a few other make shift teams that are local to the area. These teams played against 17U competition and a few younger teams got to play a few games as well. There was some top level talent in this invite playing each other. With most teams playing 3-4 games we were able to evaluate a lot of players.
Las Vegas Punishers
With multiple athletic players filling their roster two players stood out that provided an inside outside punch. With a few other notable performances.
6’4 Martel Williams
Big body guard that can score.
6’7 Osiris Grady
Legit HM prospect that is a 2023 player. Has major skills.
Utah Prospects
The 17U team was virtually untouchable this weekend as they were far better at every position that their competition. We could go down the list of every player that was just lights out. Big weekend for everyone on the roster for the Prospects most notably:
7’0 Lawson Lovering
The kid gets better every time we see him play. He has a few players stand with him and challenge him but he held his own.
6’7 Ethan Potter Ethan Potter 6'8" | SF Layton | 2021 State #194 Nation UT
His outside game is something that will really change his game moving forward.
6’0 Jordan Toscano Jordan Toscano 6'1" | PG Bingham | 2021 State UT
Quick, strong and with good vision Jordan can really run a team.
5’10 Coleman Ford Coleman Ford 5'10" | PG Timpview | 2021 State UT
Coleman shot the ball extremely well this weekend, which makes him an even tougher player to defend.
JM Elite
This team was made up of local players and a few graduates. Two players that had an excellent weekend were:
6’4 Isaac Finlinson Isaac Finlinson 6'6" | CG Dixie | 2021 State UT
Crafty player with the ball. Still has a lot of room for growth, especially with his lanky frame.
6’5 Keegan Munson Keegan Munson 6'6" | CG Desert Hills | 2021 State UT
Really showed he can shoot the ball if allowed to. He hit 6 three’s in one game and a few with defenders on him.
Utah Premier
Utah Premier had a good showing with some solid team play. They shot the ball well from the outside, they had 3 players really stand out.
6’2 Cody Nixon Cody Nixon 6'4" | PG Riverton | 2021 State UT
Can handle the ball decently but he can really shoot the ball.
6’8 Jaden Brownell Jaden Brownell 6'8" | SF Alta | 2021 State UT
Shot the lights out. He is an elite pick n pop player.
6’4 Bodi Nageli Bodi Nageli 6'3" | CG Herriman | 2021 State UT
Over all talented as he can finish at the rim and shoot the ball well. He is bouncy as he can finish above the rim
AZ Factory
Factory is always well coached as they run great sets that maximize their players talents. Two players that are D1 bound really played well this weekend.
6’6 Kevin Kogbara
Kevin can handle the ball and shoot. He has great overall game as a 3 guard at the next level.
6’6 Colin Carey
Colin can handle the ball but he is a 2 guard at the next level as he can really shoot the ball.
Utah Prospects 16U
Playing up wasn’t an issue for this group as they proved they can hang with anyone. Multiple players stood out.
6’4 Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT
Collin is just different as he can score in the open court with ease. He dunked on a few players and also stretched the floor with his shooting.
6’9 Zach Keller
Zach was a beast down low. He has a great motor to haul in rebounds and simply over power players on the block. His moves continue to improve.
6’3 Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'4" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT
Rex defended at a high level and provided pivotal plays inside and out all while taking care of the basketball.
