The event was run by OTR Exposure and here are some new faces that stood out from the 2023 class.
AJ Rose 5’11 PG Summer Creek HS [Humble, TX] 2023
AJ has the build of a running back and the speed to match. He is a physical guard on the court that imposes his will and gets to the rim. He also can shoot from the perimeter and has a solid IQ on the court.
Rueben Doria 5’9” PG Manvel HS [Manvel, TX] 2023
Rueben plays like a very polished point guard. He has a super good feel for the game. He was getting after the 50/50 balls and made sure that he feeds his teammates on every possession. Most players look to get theirs in camps, but this prospect was looking to get assists and only to score as the last resort. If this prospect can grow to 6’0″ he will be a very tough scholarship floor general.
Cam Woodberry 6’4” W Shadow Creek HS [Pearland, TX] 2023
Cam is another polished prospect and was refreshing to see him play. He didn’t force anything allowed the game to come to him and was in the right spots at the right times. He is athletic and is a solid on-ball defender as well as a rim protector with his athleticism.
Jaden Ducos 5’10” PG Atascocita HS [Humble, TX] 2023
Strong guard that plays a bit of bully ball when he has the ball even against the bigger defenders he was able to get to the rim with his physical play. He has some nice intangibles (defensive IQ, rebounds exceptionally well for his size, speed, and quick laterally).
Da’Veon Lewis 6’4” SF | North Forest HS [Houston, TX] 2023
Super high motor player that has a chance to become a really nice prospect. He has a ton of energy and it was infectious as his high energy seemed to rub off on his teammates on both his regular team and in the Top 20 game. He gets after it as an on-ball defender and rebounder. Has good length and closes out with quickness on his opponents. Great lateral movements and has some bounce in his game.
