Washington had a productive week in Myrtle Beach. In the game I watched, he scored the ball well inside and showed off an array. Of finishing moves. Washington is best in the open court going downhill. He had a beautiful euro-step move in the game I watched. Defensively, he will is able to guard 2-4 due. To his mobility and length. He needs to do a better job at aggressively attacking the glass, but in all, his game has taken leaps since February. High level D3’s and D2’s should reach out to the 6’6” forward.
Carter Williams Carter Williams 6'2" | SF Webster County | 2021 State WV – 6’2” SF Webster County 2021
Williams also had a good week in Myrtle Beach and displayed his improved athleticism and skillset. Williams jumper looks much smoother and has improved the speed of his release. Williams is best going downhill, does a great job at setting his man up on cuts and does a good job at attacking immediately off the catch. Defensively, he reads passing lanes well and is good at intercepting passes. Williams is a great positional rebounder and plays much bigger than his height. D3’s should reach out.
TJ Lamb TJ Lamb 6'5" | PF Central Pointe Christian (FL) | 2021 State WV – 6’4” PF Central Pointe Christian (FL)
Lamb really impressed me in his time in Myrtle Beach. Choosing to work on his skills with Coach Ronnie Nuzum rather than play for his school team this year looks as if it was a great option. Lamb made good reads and was always looking to make the right play. Offensively, he is a good passer for his position and does a great job at crashing the offensive glass creating second chance opportunities for his team. Defensively, his length and effort allow him to guard either forward position. Lamb has an extremely high motor. I expect TJ to make big strides and improve his skills as a member of the CPCA post graduate program this year. D3’s should inquire.
