Prep Hoops saw plenty of action on the opening few days at the event from the Myrtle Beach Sports Center. Lets dive into the action right here with 5 seniors from the Palmetto State who stood out with some performances today.
Myles Jenkins Myles Jenkins 6'3" | CG River Bluff | 2021 State SC – LMR Academy – River Bluff HS (pictured on the front)
Jenkins was just great all day for LMR Academy. Jenkins bullied defenders to the basket and finished on contact. Jenkins is a relentless WARRIOR on the floor and just plays the game at a high level. Jenkins averaged 20 ppg for the 1st day of action. Jenkins a soft spoken young man plays the game so much effort at all times.
Jacobi Wright Jacobi Wright 6'1" | PG Legacy Early College | 2021 State #83 Nation SC – Tea Marie – Legacy Early College
Wright #3 player in the Palmetto State 2021 Class is here playing with Tea Marie. The team consists of several players from Team CP3. Wright a University of South Carolina Gamecock was great on Day 2 of the event. Wright has great vision all over the floor and has the ability to score the rock when needed. Wright helped his Tea Marie team to victory over Garner Road 3SSB on Friday.
Ayden Hickman Ayden Hickman 6'3" | SG Myrtle Beach | 2021 State SC – Manzer – Myrtle Beach HS
Hickman joined the Manzer team here generally plays with Upward Stars Pee Dee. Hickman a sharp shooting guard connected on 7 three pointers in Manzer opening day 2 victories. Hickman helped the Manzer squad to a (3-0) weekend. Hickman scored 16 points today in a lopsided win. Hickman averaged 14 ppg this past season for the Seahawks.
Mike Herrin Mike Herrin 6'4" | CG Socastee | 2021 State SC – Manzer – Socastee HS
Herrin a left-handed rangy guard had a very solid first day for the Manzer squad. Herrin really likes to leak out in transition for some cheapies. Herrin added 16 points in the win on Friday for Manzer.
Quez Lewis Quez Lewis 5'8" | PG Johnsonville | 2021 State SC – Big Shots SC 17U Select – Johnsonville HS
Lewis a water bug point guard really can change speeds and directions in a hurry. Lewis was able to knockdown some three pointers today while playing stingy defense. Lewis averaged just over 16 ppg this season for the Golden Flashes. The Golden Flashes finished the year at (20-2) and won the region championship.
