Taede Stucki Taede Stucki 6'2" | SG Middleton | 2021 State ID , 2021: The Middleton Vikings will look to Stucki to carry a lot of the weight for the team this season. At 6’2″, Taede has great size for a 2-guard and can shoot the ball with the best in the league. After shooting 40% from 3 as a junior, Stucki will look to become even more deadly as he’ll have the ball in his hands more this year. Stucki has the ability to heat up quickly and can push a lead in a short period of time. Coming off of a productive season last year averaging 8.3 ppg, Stucki will look to increase his averages and shooting percentage to become a more efficient and dynamic player.
Gavin Weisweaver, 2021: After a great season in 2019-20, Weisweaver will look to lead the Vallivue Falcons for a deep run at the state tournament. Gavin has a quick release and the footwork to match. He can knockdown a jumper coming from either direction and Vallivue likes to run a lot of down screens for Gavin to catch and shoot on the run. Weisweaver has expanded his game to also include the ability to finish around the rim with both hands and in traffic. Out of the pick-and-roll, Gavin has great vision and always finds makes the right read, whether it be a kickback to the replace action, or a pocket-pass to the roller for an easy layup. Weisweaver will quickly climb the list of top players in the state once the season starts.
Trace Harrison, 2021: Trace is a shifty point guard from the class of 2021 with tons of potential. An athletic, past-first point guard with the ability to finish around the rim through contact. Harrison’s greatest gift is his ability to pass. Harrison consistently makes the right reads and puts his teammates in the position for success. His passes are always on time and on target and often turn into assists. I expect Trace to expand his game this summer to include a more consistent jump shot that will put defenders on their heels. The sky’s the limit for Trace and the Vallivue Falcons with a really solid backcourt as they head into the 2020-21 season.
Merit Foote, 2021: Foote comes off an excellent season last year where he showcased all of his skills for the Middleton Vikings. In the 2020-21 season, Foote will look to increase his scoring averages while continuing to keep up his assist numbers. Foote has great court vision and constantly makes an extra pass to his teammates for a great shot. He chooses his own shots wisely and is a high IQ player. As the season progresses, I expect Merit to look to score more often and turn up the heat on defense. Foote is a great on-ball defender with good reaction time and the ability to force turnovers. His IQ, passing ability, and defensive presence will be felt all over the court.
