The 2022 class in New Jersey took a hit when Zion Cruz left for Oak Hill Academy, but it is still a deep class. The guard position is filled with high level talent with three members being a member of the All-State team last season. The wings are also talented and they have a strong opportunity to break onto the scene next season. Here are the top 2022 breakout wing candidates.

Donovan Long Donovan Long 6'6" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 SF Rutgers Prep

Long helped Marist get to the Hudson County Tournament final for the second straight year and should help the Argonauts in 2020-21. The lanky 6’6 forward attacks the basket hard and is unafraid of taking contact around the basket. Long’s motor never stops on both ends of the floor and plays solid post defense. He has a nice release on his shot and has a good mid-range game. Long takes over  Nico Galette Nico Galette 6'6" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2020 State NJ ’s role for Rutgers Prep and is ready to have a breakout year for one of New Jersey’s top teams.

Nate Williams Nate Williams 6'3" | SG St. John Vianney | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 SG St. John Vianney
