The Davis brothers both play at York Prep for their father Larry Davis. Kory and Kendall helped the 1-Carolina program to a (3-0) weekend at Big Shots Rock Hill. Kory and Kendall both connected on shots all weekend for the 1-Carolina team. Watch out for the Patriots this coming season with this duo i nthe backcourt.
McCree a point guard helped lead the offense with his stellar play. McCree has the ability to make plays for others while penetrating and kicking to more than likely to one of the Davis brothers. This trio of guards caused havoc all weekend with just solid play.
Kristopher Wallace Kristopher Wallace 5'8" | PG AC Flora | 2022 State SC and Tyrell Green Tyrell Green 5'11" | CG AC Flora | 2022 State SC – Carolina Cavs White
This duo in the backcourt created havoc all weekend long with solid play. These guards aren’t big in height but EFFORT they rise to the top. Wallace and Green both really defend on the ball and look to grab every lose ball all over the floor. Wallace and Green both make good decisions on the floor and really want to push the tempo of the game. Wallace will play at AC Flora HS this coming season with Green. Wallace attended Gray Collegiate last season.
Jazian Gortman Jazian Gortman 6'2" | PG Keenan | 2022 SC and Chrisean Oree Chrisean Oree 6'3" | CG Keenan | 2023 State SC – Palmetto City Hurricanes
Gortman can fill it up in a hurry on the scoreboard with his play. Gortman is a SCORER who can create his own shot very easily on the floor. Oree a pass first point guard just dishes out the passes and sets the tone of the offense at times. Oree (2023) should be the starting point guard this coming season for the Raiders after seeing minutes last season as a freshman. Oree doesn’t really look to score the ball too much but did have 8 assists in the game Prep Hoops took in on Saturday.
Russell Branch Russell Branch 6'2" | PG Fork Union Military Academy | 2022 State SC and Mike Henderson – Carolina Pressure 2022
Branch can really get the ball to the rack and find his teammates on the floor. Branch is shifty with the ball and has the ability to get by defenders with a very quick 1st step. Branch makes a living at times getting to the foul line. Branch has been on the varsity since 8th grade with the Warhorses.
Henderson 5’6 point guard hails from TC Williams HS (Alexandria, VA). Henderson a water-bug has a quick crossover move and isn’t afraid to take a charge on the defensive end of the floor. Henderson converted on several floaters around the paint this weekend.
Khalil Brown Khalil Brown 6'2" | SG Boiling Springs | 2022 State SC and Isaiah Washington Isaiah Washington 5'11" | PG Landrum | 2022 State SC – Overtime Grind
Brown came up big in a game vs the Charlotte Hoyas that Prep Hoops was able to watch. Brown a combo guard got the ball to the rack and was able to finish on the drive. Brown and Washington gave the Overtime Grind a nice backcourt presence. Washington plays at nearby Landrum HS. Washington connected on some mid-range jumpers today while playing the combo guard position.
