Triple doubles are symbols of players who have stuffed the box score and the 2021 class has plenty of players who can fill up the stat sheet. Here are the top triple double threats in the 2021 class.
Rafael Castro Rafael Castro 6'9" | PF Dover | 2021 State #157 Nation NJ , 6’9 SF/PF Dover
Castro has seen his stock rise since the end of the season and is one of the top shot-blockers in New Jersey. The 6’9 forward uses his length and athleticism to swat shots around the basket. Castro led the state in rebounding as he is a force on the boards. He has a nice touch around the basket and can handle the ball on the perimeter. Castro secured a triple double against Parsippany Hills in his junior campaign and should do it again in his final varsity season.
Christian Cevis Christian Cevis 6'0" | PG West Morris | 2021 State NJ , 6’0 PG West Morris
Cevis is a true point guard who led the state in assists last season. The 6’0 floor general plays with great court vision and is at his best distributing the ball. Cevis can blow by his defender in the half court, but is also a good perimeter shooter. He is a good rebounder for a guard and plays with quick hands on the defensive end. Cevis recorded a triple double against Morristown-Beard and has the potential to get a quadruple double at some point this season.
Samson Johnson Samson Johnson 6'10" | PF Patrick School | 2021 State #145 Nation NJ , 6’10 PF Patrick School
The Celtics have to replace a ton of talent from the reigning Union County Tournament champions, but they do return Johnson in the frontcourt. The lanky 6’10 stretch four runs the floor hard and has range that extends past the three-point line. Johnson has a nice touch around the basket and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. He is one of the top shot-blockers in the Garden State with his combination of size, length, timing and athleticism. Johnson is a skilled stretch four who has the potential to stuff the stat sheet for the Patrick School this season.
Dominick Barlow Dominick Barlow 6'7" | SF Dumont | 2022 NLG , 6’8 SF/PF Dumont
Barlow is one of the most underrated forwards in New Jersey and should have a monster 2020-21 season. The athletic forward loves to finish above the rim and knows how to finish around the rim. Barlow has a nice release on his shot and has range that extends to the three-point line. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to swat shots. Barlow is a talented forward prospect who has the ability to get a triple double in his final varsity season.
Wesley Robinson Wesley Robinson 6'6" | PF Life Center Academy | 2021 State NJ , 6’6 SF Life Center Academy
Robinson had a strong junior campaign and is looking to build on that in 2020-21. The 6’6 point forward is at his best attacking the basket and knows how to finish through contact. Robinson is a good passer and knows how to find the open man. He is a force on the glass on both ends of the floor and is an underrated defender.
