Will Yebio Will Yebio 6'0" | CG Bishop Machebeuf | 2022 State CO – Pro Skills
Pro Skills had a couple of players out so they had a few replacements jump on the team. The replacement that surprised me most was a two-way guard that turned defense into offense in Will Yebio Will Yebio 6'0" | CG Bishop Machebeuf | 2022 State CO . Yebio seemed to be everywhere on the court. He made plays happen everywhere on the court, and it was difficult to take him off of the court. He played hard-nosed full-court defense coming up with multiple steals; his shot was falling as he hit a couple of 3-pointers, and he also used his speed to get to the rim. Yebio fit in seamlessly with PSB as a player that quickly gets up and down the floor and goes hard on every single possession. He is a player to watch a bit more.
Drew Reichart Drew Reichart 6'5" | PF Doherty | 2022 State CO – Colorado Chaos
The 6’5 big man Drew Reichart Drew Reichart 6'5" | PF Doherty | 2022 State CO was one of the most exciting bigs in the gym as he used his aggressiveness, strength, speed, and size to get what he wanted on the floor. Reichart played a bully-ball brand of basketball as he was Chaos 16U’s top scorer on the weekend. In each game, Reichart did not back down to taller players, frequently moving them around and not letting them get to spots on the block. Offensively he scored with ease on smaller defenders as he spaced the floor with a couple of outside shots, backed defenders down, and had a good feel around the rim. Reichart averaged about 15 points a game, was aggressive on the glass, and was a reliable rim protector. He is poised for a big season at Doherty and is a player to certainly watch soon.
Esmond Griffin Esmond Griffin 5'8" | CG Horizon | 2022 State CO – Colorado Titans
Griffin did a bit of everything and was a player that popped out whenever I watched the Titans play. He is a speedy guard that makes plays for others, and his unselfishness opens things up for players around him. Griffin consistently dissected the defense and found the open man. He is a true point guard that got the team into their sets, was pesky on the defensive end as he pressured opposing guards and also hit a couple of 3-pointers to keep the defense honest.
Asher Nofziger Asher Nofziger 6'7" | PF Cherry Creek | 2022 State CO — Colorado Miners(pictured)
The first thing you recognize about Nofziger is the big hair, but the more that I watched him, the more he popped. Nofziger had a solid Saturday performance as the 6’6 forward hit shot after shot. Nofziger is a player that looks like he could be put into any situation. He is always moving, an excellent communicator, and he also excelled in help-side defense with a couple of backside blocks to protect the paint. On offense, he moved without the ball as he found spaces in the defense, he ran out on breaks and finished. I liked what I saw from him and is a player to add to my list of players to take a more in-depth look at.
Landen Dvorsky Landen Dvorsky 5'11" | CG Liberty | 2022 State CO – Pluto Prospects
One of the more intriguing prospects and first players that I put on my list was the sharpshooter from Pluto as he shot lights out for the weekend. What I enjoy about Dvorsky’s game is his ability to space the floor properly. Dvorsky is a guard that is comfortable with the ball on his hands as he takes care of the ball, plays unselfishly, and makes the right play, but him off of the ball with one of the state’s best passers was even more exciting. Dvorsky found open spots and let it fly. Once his feet are set, he lets it fly, and he was the difference-maker in the championship game for Pluto as he hit a couple of shots in a row to make the defense step out, and then he started hitting the corner to find an open teammate. His ability to put the ball on the floor with a lethal right to left cross over and also shoot it makes him a difficult player to defend and a player that I am anxious to see play again.
