The Circuit League, a two-day event, will have over 25 high major names and could easily shift as 2021 and 2022 recruits shake off their rust. First day contributors took off and considering that many of the guys fall in the list of the 25 high major talents and they still impress.
Keyonte George Keyonte George 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 State #4 Nation FL
Regardless of a quarantine hiatus, it’s easy to say Keyonte George Keyonte George 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 State #4 Nation FL is still the best talent in Texas high school basketball. We’re talking about a top tier 2022 athlete that may creep past 6-5. He’s a wired scorer with the capability to be instant offense from anywhere on the court. He looks like he’s added some strength evident by the and-1 pull jumper and the way he changed another shot mid-air with a defender in his shooting pocket.
Jordan Walsh Jordan Walsh 6'7" | SF Link Academy | 2022 #31 Nation MO
There’s a lot to like about Walsh as your newest recruit on the wing. He’s 6-7 with long arms and has effortless athleticism. He wasn’t assertive on the first night back, but a laser three pointer and putback well above the rim were enough to show that even after 4 months without the game there’s so much talent wrapped into the 2022 prospect.
Jimel Cofer
The Quick PG out of with a great frame at 6-3. The Universal Academy product does damage with the lefty jumpshot especially on one dribble pull ups and catch and shoot threes.
Kam Waites
Waites has the frame to dominate on the block. 6-9 with a big body, he knows how to make room with his wide shoulders. Shows great touch around the rim even nailed a shot from 15 feet. Based on Waites touches, he could easily be on this list in day 2.
Savion Red Savion Red 6'1" | 195 lbs | G Grand Prairie | 2022 TX
Red has difference making athleticism. We’re talking about the kind that fused with a high motor becomes an impactful player, even if said player’s game is still developing. Red has a gridiron build thanks to his time in the slot, but on the court, he shows promising flashes. The incredible pair of blocks he posted, one a chase down and the other a blocked three pointer, came from top end speed and explosiveness. He’s a project on offense, but his burst still puts points on the board.
Lee Dort Lee Dort 6'10" | C Greenhill School | 2022 State #67 Nation TX
I watched Dort try to deflate the ball on three blocks last night. He’s a high level rim protector especially at the high school level and has the physicals to be just as dangerous on the next. He’s a force in the paint and more than competent when going right. Watching him on the boards reinforces his 15.6 rebounds a game in high school, a national record.
