10 players in the 17U Division we’re eager to watch this weekend at the Prep Hoops Midwest Collision...
Jameson DoughertyJamesonDougherty6'9" | PFRiver Falls | 2021StateWI - 2021 - F - Wisconsin Playmakers
Dougherty is going to move up in the rankings, the question is how high? The Army commit showed some vast improvement two weekends ago in Appleton. A 6-foot-9 forward with length, Dougherty can face up and attack or shoot in mid-range. He’s a very fluid athlete that also protects the rim, can play in the pick n’ roll/pop game, and shoot it a bit from distance.
Sam HaeseSamHaese6'3" | SFWrightstown | 2021StateWI - 2021 - SF - Wisconsin Blizzard
Haese’s summer has gone under the radar a bit. The Wrightstown standout has shot it at a high level throughout the month of July. A 6-foot-3 wing with a sweet stroke, Haese can get hot from deep and stay hot throughout the course of the game. Expect D3 programs to really prioritize Haese and he could be the center of some heated battles among top WIAC programs this fall.
Isaiah Hammond

Isaiah Hammond
IsaiahHammond6'3" | SGMilwaukee School of Languages | 2021StateWI - 2022 - G/W - JH1 Elite
Hammond is one of the better kept secrets in Wisconsin. A high-motor guard that can play pretty much anywhere on the perimeter and defend multiple positions, Hammond is an intriguing small school prospect. The 6-foot-3 senior plays point guard for Milwaukee School of Languages and scores a lot of points. He makes his living on the grassroots circuit with constant energy and an all-around impact.
Brock Heffner
BrockHeffner6'7" | PFGrafton | 2021StateWI - 2021 - F - Wisconsin Playground Club
Heffner has proven he’s a solid Division 2 prospect, potentially even a player low major programs could take a chance with. An athletic, versatile forward, Heffner has a nice blend of skill and physicality. The Grafton standout plays with a chip on his shoulder and can power his way to the rim. He’s also skilled with his footwork on the block, can handle the ball on the perimeter, and get up and down the floor in transition.
Jayden Jackson
JaydenJackson6'2" | SGWhitefish Bay | 2021StateWI - 2021 - SG - ABC Young Lions
Still don’t think the state knows how good this kid is. After hitting a game winner in a 17U title game two weekends ago, Jackson returns to the floor. Been getting a lot of mid-majors inquires about Jackson this summer. An athletic, two-way prospect who’s a natural scorer, but also plays a ton of point guard, Jackson is flying under the radar with just one offer from South Alabama.
Jerome JacobsJeromeJacobs6'3" | SGMadison West | 2022StateWI - 2022- SG - Movement Hoops Elite
Jacobs was a new addition to the 2022 rankings after a nice sophomore season at Madison West. He’s been playing well in some smaller events and we’ll be interested to see how he performs on a bigger stage. Jacobs relies on his athleticism to produce, but he also shows flashes as an efficient slasher and occasional pull-up jump shooter as well.
David Joplin
DavidJoplin6'6" | SFBrookfield Central | 2021State#54NationWI - 2021 - SF - D1 Minnesota
The Brookfield Central product fits in very well with his new team. In fact, Joplin has quickly emerged as one of the go-to players. Joplin holds scholarship offers from Texas, Butler, Iowa State, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Missouri, and more. A skilled, versatile, three-level scorer, Joplin has perhaps the most diverse scoring skill sets in the state. Battling with
James Graham
JamesGraham6'9" | SFNicolet | 2021State#59NationWI for the No. 2 spot in Wisconsin’s 2021 class, another big weekend will help cement Joplin’s status.
Kyle Krueger
KyleKrueger6'8" | PFAshwaubenon | 2021StateWI - 2021 - PF - Team 1848
Krueger has a potential to record a double-double every time out. The Ashwaubenon product is a strong finisher around the rim and owns the glass defensively. He plays with good hands in traffic and his teammates can trust him to pick out passes below his waist, go up, and finish.
Sam Ludwig
SamLudwig6'2" | PGNew Berlin Eisenhower | 2021StateWI - 2021 - G - JH1 Elite
Ludwig has been extremely productive over the last year and is just one of those guys that doesn’t get enough credit. He’s a swiss army knife that brings a lot of different things to the floor and certainly scores in so many ways. Ludwig has had a track record of putting together ’quiet’ 20 and 30 point efforts during his career and always seems to play well in high-level matchups.
JaKobe Thompson - 2021 - PG - Movement Hoops Elite
This will be our first look at Thompson this summer. A high volume scorer who’s very elusive on the ball, Thompson can explode offensively. An undersized, but fearless guard, Thompson can score in transition and in the halfcourt. Given his offensive firepower, Thompson should be getting mid-major looks this summer.
