Westtown School Loaded With Major Talent (Part I) (The Rising Seniors)

The Westtown School, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, has been a dominant high school basketball program over the past decade. Throughout the past seven years, the school has won seven consecutive conference championships in the very proficient Friends Schools League. The Westtown School is notorious for winning and producing some of the nations top college basketball prospects. In the past five seasons, basketball alumni of the Westtown School have included; Mo Bamba (Orlando Magic), Cam Reddish (Atlanta Hawks), Jalen Gaffney (University of Connecticut), Joh Bol Ajak Deng (Syracuse University), Anthony Ochefu (Southern New Hampshire University), Jair Bolden (Butler University), T.J. Berger (Georgetown University), and Noah Collier (University of Pittsburgh).
The Westtown School looks to continue its success going forward into the 2020-2021 high school basketball season. The team’s roster is filled with high major Division I talent. The seniors on the team; Franck Kepnang Franck Kepnang 6'10" | C Westtown School | 2021 State #24 Nation PA , Jalen Warley Jalen Warley 6'4" | CG Westtown School | 2021 State #25 Nation PA , and Ny’Mire Little Ny’Mire Little 6'4" | PG Westtown School | 2021 State PA are three of the top rising seniors in the country. Kepnang and Warley have both have received numerous offers from high major Division I colleges all across the nation. Additionally, Little has also been offered by Stony Brook University and is continuing to draw major interest from high level Division I programs.
The lineup has great size at every position. Franck Kepnang Franck Kepnang 6'10" | C Westtown School | 2021 State #24 Nation PA (6’11”) and Dereck Lively II Dereck Lively II 7'1" | C Westtown School | 2022 State #3 Nation PA (7’0”) provide a huge inside presence on both ends of the floor. The two centers are very skilled and can create matchup problems for opposing frontcourts. The program also has a stellar back court that is comprised of highly skilled guards; Jalen Warley Jalen Warley 6'4" | CG Westtown School | 2021 State #25 Nation PA , Ny’Mire Little Ny’Mire Little 6'4" | PG Westtown School | 2021 State PA , Quin Berger, Wade Chiddick, Trey O’Neil, Kevin Kang, and Matt Mayock.
The team is extremely well coached and is exciting to watch. They can outrun opponents in transition as well as dismantle defenses in the half court setting. The Westtown School will once again be a top team in the country. The program will bring back a heavily talented roster filled with major Division 1 prospects. In this article (Part I) we will discuss some of the rising seniors of the Westtown School.
Franck Kepnang Franck Kepnang 6'10" | C Westtown School | 2021 State #24 Nation PA (6’11”) (Center) (Class of 2021)
Franck Kepnang Franck Kepnang 6'10" | C Westtown School | 2021 State #24 Nation PA is regarded as one of the top rising seniors in the nation and with good reason. He is extremely athletic and has great physical strength. Kepnang presents a major presence on both ends of the floor. The big man has the ability to play way above the rim and can finish lobs in both transition as well as the half court setting. Kepnang has shown that he can step out and make the three. His ability to shoot the basketball will force opponents to leave the paint and guard him. He is ferocious on the glass and does a good job of keeping the ball up high when he rebounds. His ability to easily dunk off of a standing vert combined with his physical strength makes him a serious force in the paint. Defensively he is an elite shot blocker.
Kepnang has received numerous offers from high major Division I schools including; University of Washington, University of Kansas, Auburn University, University of Miami, University of Connecticut, DePaul University, University of Illinois, Ohio State University, University of Oregon, University of California Los Angeles, Texas A&M University, and several other schools.
Jalen Warley Jalen Warley 6'4" | CG Westtown School | 2021 State #25 Nation PA (6’5”) (Guard) (Class of 2021)
Jalen Warley Jalen Warley 6'4" | CG Westtown School | 2021 State #25 Nation PA is one of the best guards in the nation. The 6’5” guard is extremely talented and has a very high basketball IQ. Offensively, Warley is able to make plays for his teammates by getting into the lane on his drives. He has a great handle and phenomenal court awareness. Warley does a great job of seeing the entire floor on his drives. Opposing defenses have to play him honestly when he gets into the paint on account of his ability to score. Defensively, he can guard numerous positions on the floor by using his length and quickness. Warley is an active rebounder who crashes the glass well, especially for a guard.
Warley has received offers from several high major Division 1 schools including; Florida State University, University of Louisville, University of Michigan, University of Oregon, University of Virginia, University of Miami, University of Maryland, Louisiana State University, Ohio State University, University of Memphis, and other programs.
Ny’Mire Little Ny’Mire Little 6'4" | PG Westtown School | 2021 State PA (6’4”) (Guard) (Class of 2021)
Ny’Mire Little Ny’Mire Little 6'4" | PG Westtown School | 2021 State PA is an extremely athletic and gifted guard. Little is a complete basketball player that can score the basketball in a multitude of ways. He can get up the floor quickly and score in transition, shoot the three from deep (really deep), as well as beat his defender off the dribble in the half court setting. Not only can Little score the basketball, he can also set up his teammates. He has great court vision and poise. Another aspect of Little’s game that should translate very well at the next level is his ability to play at various speeds and tempos. He can push the pace and stop on a dime, making him a tough matchup for opposing guards. Little has a great basketball IQ and uses the back dribble nicely to read defenses. Defensively, the 6’4” guard is all over the floor and has the athletic ability to create havoc against opposing guards. As mentioned earlier, Little has already picked up an offer from Stony Brook University. Little is an impact player and is set to have a great senior year.
