To take advantage of this, we have started to add these videos to players in Oregon in the Class of 2022 at all different levels. Here’s a look at four players whose profiles have recently been updated.
Prospect: Lamar Washington Lamar Washington 6'4" | CG AZ Compass Prep | 2022 State #128 Nation AZ
HS: Jefferson
Height/Position: 6-4 – Combo Guard
PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #1

Analysis: Washington has been the most productive player in his class ever since he entered high school and this past season at Jefferson he led the high-powered Demos in scoring. The 6-foot-4 wing is well known for his ability to score, from draining lefty jumpers from long range using his quick flick of the wrist to utilizing his mature body to create off the dribble and finish around the basket. Washington improved upon his body and athleticism and added finishing at the rim to his game this past year. A couple of areas this short video clip doesn’t highlight is Washington’s passing ability (he also led Jefferson in assists) and his quick hands on defense. Washington earned his first Division I scholarship offer this spring from Bryant but also holds a number of FBS football offers, so his route to college may be on the gridiron.
Prospect: Samaje Morgan Samaje Morgan 5'9" | PG Churchill | 2022 State OR
HS: Churchill
Height/Position: 5-8 – Point Guard
PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #5

Analysis: Morgan is arguably the quickest player in the state. He can virtually individually break down any defender off the dribble, using a quick first step and burst to get to the hoop and he knows how to finish plays over bigger players. Morgan also has enough of an outside shot to keep defenses honest from the perimeter. Where Morgan really excels is on defense as he is an absolute ball-hawk and his picks often lead to easy buckets.
Prospect: Dezman Baker Dezman Baker 6'3" | SF Mountainside | 2022 State OR
HS: Mountainside
Height/Position: 6-3 – Combo Guard
PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #13

Analysis: The word rangy comes to mind when we think of Baker, who makes the most out of his ability to get to the basket thanks to his quickness and athleticism. While he operates mostly from the wing, at 6-foot-4 he also has the size to post up smaller players down low. Baker is a good passer and actually ranked second on Mountainside in assists this past season and could very well develop into a point guard. His length and ranginess can create havoc on the defensive end. One area of improvement for Baker is his outside shot where his confidence is coming along.
Prospect: Landon Thom Landon Thom 6'2" | CG Westside Christian | 2022 State OR
HS: Westside Christian
Height/Position: 6-2 – Combo Guard
PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #25

Analysis: We missed Thom in action this past year as injury cost him the second half of the season, so we were really happy to get a chance to watch his film. The first thing we noticed is how he has a very mature body for his age and he definitely uses that to his advantage getting past defenders and finishing in the lane while absorbing contact. Thom is a solid ball-handler and can create for others as well as himself and is often looking up for an open teammate. While it does appear he’s more comfortable creating off the dribble, he does show a soft touch on his perimeter shot in these clips.
