1. Trey Patterson Trey Patterson 6'7" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State #36 Nation NJ (2021) | Rutgers Prep: Patterson recently committed to Villanova and Jay Wright has another star from New Jersey. Patterson averaged just under 20 points per game as a junior. He will be the No. 1 player in the state as a senior.
2. Mackenzie Mgbako Mackenzie Mgbako 6'8" | SF Roselle Catholic | 2023 State #5 Nation NJ (2023) | Gill St. Bernard’s: Mgbako landed in ESPN’s top 10 prospects in the Class of 2023. He is a 6’7 forward with great athleticism and versatility. Mgbako is in a program that breeds talent down low and he is the next star.
3. Zach Hicks Zach Hicks 6'7" | SF Camden Catholic | 2021 State #154 Nation NJ (2021) | Camden Catholic: Hicks is one of the most underrated players in the state. He has the size, skill, and finesse to be an elite player at the next level. He emerged as a two-way threat. Hicks can score at will and rebound with anyone in the state.
4. Akil Watson Akil Watson 6'7" | SF Roselle Catholic | 2023 State #105 Nation NJ (2023) | Don Bosco: Watson is another nationally ranked player in the Class of 2023 along with Mgbako. Watson has an extremely high ceiling. He already has eyes on him from top programs and that number will continue to grow.
5. Jerome Brewer (2021) | Camden: Camden has one of the top guards in the state in DJ Wagner. Brewer is a versatile player that keeps the floor balanced. He has a chance to take over as one of the top options on Camden.
6. Justin Hawkins Justin Hawkins 6'7" | SF Life Center Academy | 2022 State NJ (2022) | Life Center Academy: Hawkins is the top small forward in the Class of 2022. He is a 6’6 athlete that can dominate a game on both ends. He might not be a household name, but that will change during his years as an upperclassman.
7. Matthew Delaney Matthew Delaney 6'7" | PF St. Augustine | 2021 State NJ (2021) | St. Augustine: Delaney emerged as a scorer at all three levels during his junior year. He has a smooth stroke from the outside and can take over a game in the post.
8. Tristan Jeffries Tristan Jeffries 6'5" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2021 State NJ (2021) | St. Thomas Aquinas: The Trojans are losing Quadry Adams Quadry Adams 6'3" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2020 State #361 Nation NJ but Jeffries is returning for one more years. He will be one of the most watched prospects around the GMC in 2020-2021.
9. Donovan Long Donovan Long 6'6" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2022 State NJ (2022) | Marist: Marist is losing some key guards on the perimeter and that means Long will have to take on more responsibility. This is a good situation for the team given Long’s ability to score and set his teammates up in position to score.
10. Zack Davis Zack Davis 6'7" | SF Peddie | 2024 State NJ (2023) | Ranney: Ranney has a core of young players in Elijah Perkins Elijah Perkins 6'4" | CG Camden | 2022 State NJ and Davis. The freshman knows how to use his size and strength to gain position down low.
