Jailon Minor- North Garland High School 6’1
Jailon is an aware defensive guard who gets his hands-on multiple steals per night by playing the passing lanes well as well as playing scrappy and tenacious on-ball defense forcing opponents to be flustered and uncomfortable. His arms seem to have a knack for getting into his opponents and poking the ball loose. He seems to be able to get into the paint with ease and has the ability to finish around and through bigger defenders. He contorts his body well and has an awareness of getting away from contact with spin moves and hop steps. Also, he knows how to contort his layups to avoid contact and outstretched arms and finished with double pumps and other unique moves. He likes to pull off soft floaters and runners in the lane. He always has his head up and finds his teammates with ease. He is remarkably intelligent on the defensive end of the court and baits his opponents into driving lanes so he can smack their shots off the backboard.
Nick Matthews- North Garland High School 5’19
Nick is a confident player who has a clean stroke and loves to hit deep threes. His deep stroke and floor spacing ability really opened North Garland’s offense and created fantastic driving lanes for his teammates. His jump shooting ability is incredible, and he is comfortable all around the arc. With his size and quickness, he took defenders off the dribble with ease after knocking down a few open jumpers to strike fear into the hearts of the defense. He plays with great awareness on the defensive side of the ball, filling open spaces well as well as getting his hands into the pockets of shooters, disrupting their shot and forcing turnovers.

– Sachse High School 6’0
Obi is a long-armed guard with a confident jumper and good shooting form. He loves to run the break and gets easy layups through contact. He is the true definition of a three-level scorer, he is elite in the mid-range a truly lost art in today’s game. He is a good scorer when operating as the ball handler in the pick and roll, he uses screens to perfection to get to his comfortable spots in the mid-range and behind the line. He is a ferocious finisher in the paint, and he seems to explode to the rim to finish over bigger defenders. He moves well without the ball and finds good lanes on back cuts leading to easy layups, or quickly stopping on a dime and shooting an easy jumper or runner in the midrange or lane.
Mason Shaw- Naaman Forest High School 6’0
Mason has a quick jumper and a confident release. When given open opportunities, it did not matter if he was two steps behind the three-point line it was going in. He is confident from the corner and wing and hits shots there at a good clip. He has a good ability to take the ball coast to coast and set up teammates along the way. He plays good defense, playing the passing lanes well and coming up with multiple steals from positioning. His footwork and active hands allow him to make ball carriers pick up their dribble or try a pass or shot they are not comfortable with.
