New York is considered the mecca of basketball by many and a big reason for that is due to the city’s ability to consistently produce high-level point guards. Kenny Smith, Kenny Anderson, Stephon Marbury, Sebastian Telfair, Shamorie Ponds, and Cole Anthony are just some of the many well-known point guards that New York City has produced. Here are some point guards from New York’s 2021 Class that hope to continue that tradition of New York City point guards excelling at the next level.

Jaylen "Juju" Murray: Putnam Science Academy

Jaylen Juju Murray is one of the more underrated players in New York’s 2021 Class. The Bronx native is one of the best ball handlers in the country and he has the defensive tenacity to match his crafty offensive game. In various games and events against high-level competition time and time again Murray has shown that not only does he belong with players ranked higher than him, but that he’s just as good as them.
