This isn’t our main focus at this stage, but it is always good to know the players that will be making impacts next year in the state as freshman. Here we look at a trio of prospects from the Team Ten Jabari Parker travel team program which features many of the top 2024 prospects in the state. Let’s dive into a few of the players on the team.
Sean Brown
Brown has a chance to be one of the special players in this class according to those that have seen him. The guard is undecided on a high school right now, but wherever he goes expect him to be an impactful player. He is a thick bodied guard that reminds us in some ways of Jabari Parker and Talen Horton-Tucker at the same stage from the tape we watched. Brown has some baby fat and super long arms to go along with an uber skilled game. Plenty of time to thin out and should grow some vertically. Handles well in the open floor and has a good mid-range shot. Competes on the defensive end moving his feet and getting steals. Extremely skilled player at a young age.
Taevion Collier
Collier is the younger brother of former Curie superstar Cliff Alexander. The 6’5” power forward is reported to be going to Providence St. Mel next season according to Team Ten. He is very active on both ends of the floor. Long arms, broad shoulders, and good strength with room to continue to grow vertically. Snatches rebounds in traffic just like his older brother grabbing them with two hands at the highest point. Runs the floor well for a big man. Shot blocking presence that in the tape we saw was impressive recovering or coming from the weak side. Offensively his footwork continues to improve.
Payton Kamin
This guard goes by his nickname “PK”. He is known for the deep range on his three point shot. Kamin is a slick ball handler that has some creativity and flair to his game. Makes scoop shots in the lane. He is headed to DePaul Prep according to Team Ten where he will learn under one of the top guards in the 2021 class Ty Johnson Ty Johnson 6'3" | PG Depaul Prep | 2021 State #198 Nation IL .
