Keyonie Rutledge, Shawnee (2022) – Rutledge has tremendous size and length as a wing and if he would lock himself in the gym and become a better shooter he would be a top scorer in Louisville and legitimate scholarship level prospect. His upside is high and Keyonie is going to have to elevate his game for Shawnee to make noise in a region loaded with talent.
Luke Easley, Beth Haven (2021) – Beth Haven is a tiny school but Easley has talent that could get him on the court at any school in the city of Louisville. In his Junior season, he scored over 21 points per contest while shooting an impressive 54% from the field and 46% from three. Luke could be a top 10 scorer in Kentucky next season.
Chaz Geraghty, Holy Cross (2021) – The heir apparent to Sam Bearden, Chaz is likely to be a double-double guy next season for the Cougars. As a Junior, Geraghty was second on the team at Holy Cross in scoring and rebounding and should see the lion’s share of the shots and touches in the offense in his Senior season.
Cole Thompson Cole Thompson 5'10" | PG Louisville Collegiate | 2021 State KY , Collegiate (2021) – Speaking of players in line for a bigger role, Collegiate graduated a lot of scoring and rebounding and Cole is going to have to pick up a lot of the slack. Primarily a catch and shoot player who attempted more 3s than 2s last season, Thompson is going to have to become more of a facilitator and slasher for Collegiate to have a chance to win the All A region again.
Keishaun Mumphrey, Carroll County (2021) – The lone returning player on the list who averaged a double-double, Mumphrey is going to have to up his production even more next season with the graduation of Wyatt Supplee Wyatt Supplee 6'2" | SG Carroll County | 2020 State KY and his 24 points per game. Keishaun is a long forward with a pretty good motor and he’ll be counted on to do a lot for Carroll County next season.
Brant Smithers, Walton-Verona (2022) – 2019-2020 was a down season for Walton-Verona but Smithers broke out in a big way. One of the top shooters in the state, Brant shot 46% from three last season while making 3 per game. Not just a shooter, Smithers can also put the ball on the floor and is good at getting to the foul line where he shot just under 90% last season.
