There are plenty of good prospects to cover. Here’s a group of players to keep an eye on as we move forward into the future.
Ravenna Miller Ravenna Miller 6'5" | PF Cosumnes Oak | 2021 State CA-N 6’6 Forward, Cosumnes Oaks HS (Elk Grove)
Miller is athletic, long armed, and strong. The forward is tough to deal with in and around the post area, he has good power and balance going up off two feet in the paint, he has good length and a good turn around jumper in the paint. He can get to the rim off the dribble and finish with authority quite often. He’s a good rebounder and he runs the floor in transition. He averaged 12.7 ppg, 5.6 rebs, 1.5 blks.
Brandon Fisher 6’6 Forward, Sheldon HS (Sacramento, CA)
Fisher is a muscular athlete with plenty of room to raise his stock. An athlete that can jump out of the gym, but has to improve his offensive skill set to take his game to another level. Fisher is a top notch rebounder who can dominate the boards on both ends, he gets up quick on the put back, he has strong finishes around the basket. He has good post presence in the paint on defense, he can change a shot or block it.
Emmanuel 6’4 Akpan Wing, Rocklin HS (Rocklin, CA)
A good all around prospect with athleticism to his game. Akpan was a steady performer throughout the season. He’s a capable scorer inside and out. He seems more effective on the wings, where he has a good looking shot from three, good bounce on his mid-range jumper and the ability to take it to the rim and finish with a dunk, or either hand. A good passer and he doesn’t force shots. He’s active on the defensive end, and can guard multiple positions. He sprints the floor in transition.
Malik Madison 6’7 Post, Florin HS (Sacramento, CA)
Madison brings good strength and size to the court. A physical post presence on defense, who can change, and block shots. His footwork in the post needs work, but he gets wide and has a strong drop step move to score on on the block, he hits the short corner jumper with some success. He seems a bit raw, with more seasoning, and conditioning he could see his stock rise.
Keaton Massey 6’5 Forward, Davis HS (Davis, CA)
A good size forward who’s comfortable playing the wings. He spots up in the corner and the top of the key to knock down 3’s. He moves well without the ball, a solid passer who finds cutters going to the basket. He has a solid body and can handle the contact inside. He’ll have an expanded role for this team. I’ll keep an eye on him.
Albert Green 6’2 Guard, Franklin HS (Elk Grove, CA)
The lefty has a growing body and will get stronger. He’s a versatile player who contributed to the team in multiple ways. He has a good understanding of what to do on the court, and how to help his team. A steady ball handler and passer, he makes good decisions with the ball. He takes it strong going left, but can finish with either hand. He has a decent mid-range jumper and is capable of knocking down 3’s, he shot 43-percent from three point land. He averaged 12.9 ppg. He moves well and is active on defense.
