#1 Jaylen Drane Jaylen Drane 6'2" | PG Simeon | 2022 State IL (Simeon)
Drane is the top prospect in the CPS for the 2022 class. I think what you have to like about what this highly ranked guard brings to the table are his athleticism, ball handling, and upside. He hasn’t quite defined they player he is yet, but he is well on his way. Such an explosive player with the ball in his hands off the bounce getting to the rim and hitting mid-range jumpers.
#2 Donovan Jones Donovan Jones 6'0" | PG Solorio | 2022 IL (Solorio)
Jones is a 6’1” scoring point guard that is a natural bucket getter. We saw him go for several monster outings this past season for Solorio. Uses his strength and explosion off the dribble getting downhill for scores. He is a very adept shooter being able to create his own shot from a variety of levels.
#3 Xavier Amos Xavier Amos 6'7" | PF Whitney Young | 2022 State #233 Nation IL (Whitney Young)
Amos didn’t see much tick on the varsity level last year, but he has a lot of the projectable tools that make him intriguing going forward. This power forward has size for position, broad shoulders, and functional strength. Good athlete that works well out of the mid-post area as a shooter or putting it on the deck a couple dribbles.
#4 Suliaman Agiste (Michelle Clark)
Agiste is a 6’8” projectable five that has long arms and is oozing upside. Rim runner that finishes dump off passes around the hoop. Defensively he can standout with the way he blocks shots.
#5 Kanye Smith Kanye Smith 6'6" | SF Whitney Young | 2022 State IL (Whitney Young)
Smith like Amos didn’t play much if at all this season for Whitney Young on the varsity level. Now is the time for Smith to take it to the next level. The 6’5” small forward has a long and athletic frame. He projects as a two way player down the line. Smith is at his best attacking using his bounce around the hoop.
#6 Tavarius Vinson Tavarius Vinson 7'0" | C Dyett | 2022 State IL (Dyett)
Vinson is an uber intriguing 7’0” center that not many know about early in the process. He was set to run with Team RWA this spring. Thin and raw big man that will need development, but he has a lot of tools you can’t teach. Excellent shot blocker and runs the floor with fluidity.
#7 Avyion Morris Avyion Morris 5'9" | PG Simeon | 2022 State IL (Simeon)
Morris put his name on the map last season getting key minutes for the Wolverines as a sophomore. He is a small guard, but has big heart. Morris pushes with speed and is a playmaker with the rock in his hands.
#8 Lance Rodgers Lance Rodgers 6'7" | PF Simeon | 2022 State IL (Simeon)
Rodgers has a chance to emerge this season with the graduation of most of the Simeon posts. At 6’6” Rodges has a broad shouldered and strong frame. Right now his defense is ahead of his offense as he is an excellent rebounder and blocks shots.
#9 Mikell Jones Mikell Jones 6'3" | SF Michelle Clark | 2022 State IL (Farragut)
Jones is a 6’4” junk yard dog wing that plays with a ton of energy and strength. He gets absolutely the most out of his ability!
#10 Mysean Vaughn (Simeon)
Vaughn shined last fall at the Pangos camp with his tenacity on the defensive end and flair he brought playing on the ball. Lefty could develop into a decent shooter off the dribble.
