Jeffery Brazziel Jeffery Brazziel 6'4" | SF Martin Luther | 2022 #159 Nation AZ — SF — Wisconsin Playground Club
Because Brazziel missed the entire 2019-20 school season, the small forward’s play during the summer could go a long way in stoking the flames of his recruitment. Suiting up with WPC for the second season, Brazziel is ready to display his talents on a big stage. The number one prospect in Wisconsin’s 2022 class will look to defend his throne. His long arms and athleticism paired with his slashing ability are simply too much for most defenders to handle. The small forward saw his stock go through the roof last summer, and he is in position to find more success.
Maximus Nelson Maximus Nelson 6'7" | PF Appleton North | 2022 State #236 Nation WI — PF — Wisconsin Playground Club
After a great sophomore season at Appleton North, Nelson is primed to break out during the 2020 AAU season. The stretch four has good footwork in the paint, but he is also able to step outside and convert on three-point attempts. Nelson — who recently picked up his first scholarship offer from UW-Milwaukee — could crack the top five in the 2022 rankings if he is able to perform at a high level during the summer period.
Ashton Janowski Ashton Janowski 6'1" | CG Pewaukee | 2022 State WI — CG — JH1 Elite
On junior contact day, Janowski heard from Rice and Southern Illinois. If he is able to play well in July and August, then there is a very good chance that Janowski will be hearing from many more D1 programs. He suffered an injury in the 2019-20 season that slowed him down, but when he is healthy, Janowski is one of the best guards in the state. He has speed and great ball-handling skills, which he uses to get past defenders. Performing at a high level during the summer will make the combo guard a very attractive prospect for college programs.
Marshawn Robinson Marshawn Robinson 6'3" | SG Waukesha South | 2022 State WI — Wisconsin Sharks — SG
Robinson may not have everything figured out on the offensive side of the court, but he has blossomed into a defensive star. The shooting guard can use his athleticism and length to be a serious problem on defense. Robinson played up on the 17U level last summer and struggled at times. This summer, he will be playing on Wisconsin Sharks’ 16U squad. Robinson will have the opportunity to impress college coaches if he plays well.
Carter Thomas Carter Thomas 6'5" | PF Neenah | 2022 State WI — Wisconsin Crusaders — PF
Thomas was an underrated asset for Neenah during the 2019-20 season. The power forward averaged 11.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while helping the Rockets to a 23-2 record. In the summer AAU period, Thomas will have the chance to be a star for Wisconsin Crusaders. He is a matchup problem who many defenders will have a tough time guarding. He is able to control the paint while also stepping outside and converting on jump shots. College coaches should keep an eye on Thomas during the summer.
Nathan Gapinski Nathan Gapinski 6'6" | PF Watertown | 2022 State WI — Wisconsin Crusaders — PF
Gapinski is a very intriguing prospect who is already getting some interest from Division Two programs. Standing at 6-foot-6, Gapinski played like a power forward in the 2019-20 season. However, he does have the potential to eventually transform into a small forward. As a sophomore at Watertown, he averaged 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. If Gapinski reaches his full potential, he could end up being a really solid player at the next level.
Amari Jedkins Amari Jedkins 6'7" | PF Racine Case | 2022 State WI — Wisconsin Rap — CF
Jedkins has an extremely high ceiling. He is a 6-foot-9 combo forward who has long arms and a great skillset. With Wisconsin Rap, Jedkins will be able to show off his skills. He probably won’t ever be the type of player to put up huge numbers, but his impact on the game is unmatched. The forward is able to block shots, throw down dunks, and make big-time plays in transition. If all goes right, Jedkins could be a D1 prospect when it is all said and done.
