Zaire Wells Zaire Wells 6'4" | SG South Shore | 2021 State NY : South Shore
Zaire Wells Zaire Wells 6'4" | SG South Shore | 2021 State NY flashes an advanced scoring arsenal every time he gets on the floor. His offensive game is unique because he has great shot-creating ability to compliment his height as a guard which allows him to exploit mismatches. With his offensive repertoire and creativeness, he is always able to create good separation as a scorer. Entering his Senior Year I expect his already advanced offensive skill set to continue to improve even more and for him to rack up even more Division 1 Offers in the process and emerge as one of the elite guard prospects in New York.
Blair Thompson: Xavier
Blair Thompson is a positionless player. At 6’6, he has the size of a wing player, the catch and shoot ability of an off-ball guard, and the ball-handling and passing ability of a point guard. At the High School Level, he doesn’t have an offensive weakness because of the unique combination of skills that he possesses. He can punish you with his size, and skill. Defensively his size makes him a presence. Blair Thompson is truly an all-around player and someone to keep in eye on in the future as he one of the most underrated players in New York’s Class of 2021.
Kipplyn Richvine Kipplyn Richvine 6'1" | PG South Shore | 2021 State NY : South Shore
Sometimes overshadowed in the 2019-2020 season by other talented guards on his team such as Marcus Burnett, Zaire Wells Zaire Wells 6'4" | SG South Shore | 2021 State NY , and Dontae Prescott I believe Kipplyn Richvine Kipplyn Richvine 6'1" | PG South Shore | 2021 State NY ‘s talent will shine bright during the 2020-2021 Season. He’s a guard that can overpower you at the rim with his strength and athleticism. As a finisher, Richvine can finish through and around traffic with both hands at difficult angles. With a bigger role expected in the 2020-2021 Season, it will be interesting to see how Richivine’s game continues to develop as a playmaker, scorer, and defender. He has all the tools to emerge as one of the better guard prospects in NY’s 2021 Class.
Shawn Fulcher Shawn Fulcher 5'10" | PG Xaverian | 2021 State NY : Xaverian
Xaverian Guard Shawn Fulcher Shawn Fulcher 5'10" | PG Xaverian | 2021 State NY makes up for his lack of size with elite acceleration and great patience. Fulcher is elite at stopping on a dime and his ability to accelerate and decelerate reminds me of current NBA Guard Isaiah Thomas. He has great court vision and he does a great job of letting the game come to him. Fulcher’s ceiling is dependent on the consistency of his jump shot. Overall he is a highly skilled guard offensively who I expect to keep improving. You can teach and develop some of the skills that he needs to improve on such as the consistency of his 3 point shot to take his game to the next level, but you can’t teach the natural feel that he has for the game and his expertise from mid-range.
Sterling Jones Sterling Jones 5'10" | PG Christ The King | 2021 State NY : Christ The King
Sterling Jones Sterling Jones 5'10" | PG Christ The King | 2021 State NY is under the radar not because of his current standing but because of his perceived ceiling. While he is considered by many to be one of the top players in NYC, I think he gets overlooked when we talk about the very top PG’s and players in New York’s 2021 Class. Sterling Jones Sterling Jones 5'10" | PG Christ The King | 2021 State NY has one of the main traits offensively that you look for when evaluating point guards; control. He always seems to have control of the game on both ends. Offensively he does a great job making plays for himself and his teammates and defensively he has quick feet and active hands which allows him to be a pest defensively to opposing guards. His passing, finishing, in-between game, and defensive intensity make him one of the best PG’s in New York, and yet still he is one of the most underrated.
