Jaquan Sanders ‘22 6’4 Guard, Our Saviour Lutheran (HM-/MM+)
The 6’4 sharp shooting guard from Queens who began to make a name for himself during his freshman campaign after Posh Alexander Posh Alexander 5'11" | PG Our Saviour Lutheran | 2020 State #158 Nation NY ‘20 (St. John’s Signee) went down with an season ending injury. Jaquan began to step up and going into his sophomore, he played with a lot of confidence during the season. His breakout game was against The Phelps School with 23 points (6-8 from 3). He is currently holding offers from Creighton, St. John’s University, UConn, & Hofstra. He is also younger brother of University of Cincinnati standout Jermaine Sanders.
Tyler Hawkins ‘22 5’8 Guard, Mount St. Michael Academy The 5’8 guard from Harlem, NY who transferred from Abraham Lincoln High School (Brooklyn, NY) made an immediate impact not just for MSM, but the the Catholic League overall. Top 20 in scoring with 17.1 ppg and leading Mount to a comeback victory against Holy Cross in the sectional quarterfinals. Tyler made third team All-CHSAA and receiving strong interest Patriot & NEC schools.
Silas Sunday ‘22 7’0 Center, Our Saviour Lutheran
The 16 year old rising junior from the Bronx (By the way of Ireland) has made vast improvements to his game from his freshman year. Silas slimmed down 15 pounds and began moving much better to help his game. College coaches has been impressed with him and his upside. Silas currently hold offers from St. John’s, Kansas State, & Nebraska.
Tobe Awaka ‘22 6’6 F Cardinal Hayes
This young man has shown he is dedicated to his craft and his education. Tobe commute from upside New York to the Catholic in the Bronx shows how serious he is. His first year on varsity he averaged close to a double-double with 15 ppg and 8 rebounds on a 18-9 Cardinal Hayes team. Due to the CoVid-19 pandemic their season was cut short and Tobe couldn’t participate in any AAU events. But, we can expect a big year out of Tobe who is recruited by NEC & MAAC schools.
