Until then, let’s take a look at some of the best players in the 2021 class.
Here are the players ranked 41-50 in the 2021 class:
41.Max Kobbervig
Kobbervig is going to be one of the top returning lead guards in Class B and combines excellent long-range shooting with a consistent and stable floor game. He’s not the biggest guy, but he’s strong. He uses that to his advantage on both ends of the floor.
42.Mason Love
Love is a solid floor general type lead guard from Grand Forks Central and while he didn’t shoot it all that well during his junior year, his impact on the game goes beyond his ability to score. He averaged four rebounds and six assists per game and could be one of the best point guards in the EDC.
43.Michael Dunn
Dunn’s been a catalyst for a very good St. John team each of the last two years and will have an opportunity to put up huge numbers as a senior. He shot it better from the 3-point line during his sophomore year than junior year, but is terrific when it comes to getting to the paint and finishing.
44.Simon Romfo
Romfo is a multi-sport stud for Langdon/Edmore/Munich and figures to be one of the best returning lead guards in Class B. Romfo is a solid shooter and scorer but his strengths come from his ability to break down defenders and facilitate while supplying excellent perimeter defense across multiple positions.
45.Logan Schaubert
Schaubert was a breakout guy for a very good Bismarck team during his junior year and brings excellent 3-point shooting (37 percent on more than five attempts per game) and perimeter defense to the table. He’s an athletic wing who competes on the glass, pressures opposing ball handlers and excels without needing the ball on offense.
46.Alex Barbot
Barbot is a long wing who averaged 11 points per game last season and his forte is long-range shooting. He knocked down 36 percent from the 3-point line in his junior year on nearly seven attempts per game.
47.Tyler Tollefson
Tollefson enjoyed a breakout junior season for Wahpeton last winter, averaging 14 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the 3-point line. He’s undersized, but does a good job using his quickness and savvy to free himself from defenders.
48.Jah’Heem Leake
Leake has the physical potential to move way up on this list but he hasn’t put it all together yet. He’s 6-foot-8, athletic and active on the interior. He struggled early in his first year at the varsity level last year for West Fargo Sheyenne, but got better and better. If he continues to progress on some of the fine-tune areas of the game, he’s a potential double-double guy and one of the best bigs in the state.
49.Alijah Armstrong
Armstrong is another guy who could rise up this list considerably based on physical talent. He’s a waterbug point guard who can get wherever he wants on the floor. And despite his lack of size, he’s a terrific finisher and passer in close quarters. He just needs to put it all together. He’ll have a big opportunity to run the show for Fargo North as a senior.
50.Emmet Kenney
Kenney is a big guard who does a good job on the defensive end of the floor. He’s shown flashes each of the last two years at the varsity level while displaying two-way potential during the summer periods. He’ll have to produce more as a senior than he did as a junior, but the opportunity will certainly be there.
