Prep Hoops recently released its national top 150 for the class of 2023. 4 Michigan players were on that list.
https://prephoops.com/2023-rankings/
Here is a look at those 4 players:
Sonny Wilson Sonny Wilson 6'0" | PG UD Jesuit | 2023 State #189 Nation MI (PG, UD Jesuit)
Prep Hoops Ranking: #44
Wilson put a highlight next to his name this high school season. He’s the type of steady lead guard that reads a game and responds with what his team needs. Wilson plays an incredibly efficient game at the point.
Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 State #149 Nation MI (PG, Ecorse)
Prep Hoops Ranking: #59
Olafioye is a good old fashioned bucket getter. He can score naturally out of an offensive set or take his man on a crossover in an isolation. Olafioye is a solid passer that can hit small spaces with flare.
RJ Taylor RJ Taylor 6'0" | PG Grand Blanc | 2023 State #262 Nation MI (PG, Grand Blanc)
Prep Hoops Ranking: #114
Taylor came in and ran the offense for one of the most talented rosters in Michigan. His ball handling, passing, and all around poise are beyond his years.
Braelon Green Braelon Green 6'3" | PG Southern California Academy | 2023 #95 Nation CA-S (SG, Ypsilanti-Lincoln)
Prep Hoops Ranking: #130
Green came in to high school with the strength and physicality to make a difference immediately. His combination of ball handling and willingness to bulldog his way to the rim make him a tough stop.
Here are 2 more names that I personally would have added on that list and would watch out for in the future:
Curtis Williams Curtis Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2023 State #93 Nation MI (SF, Brother Rice)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #5
ESPN has Williams ranked at #17. He’s a special talent and he shows the quality at the top in this class.
Tim Jordan Tim Jordan 6'7" | PF Saginaw Arthur Hill | 2023 TX (PF, Saginaw Arthur Hill)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #6
Jordan might be the top post prospect in the class, and post players are always a hot commodity.
