COMMITMENTS
2020 Winston Churchill guard Jomo Goings Jomo Goings 6'4" | CG Churchill | 2020 State MD committed to Slippery Rock. Goings is a 6-foot-4 combo guard who can score from all three levels and in a variety of ways. His length, basketball IQ and upside should all play a big part in him having a productive college career.
2020 Boys’ Latin point guard Kendall Walker Kendall Walker 5'11" | PG Boys' Latin | 2020 State MD announced his commitment to Morehouse College. Walker is a savvy floor general who can play the role of facilitator or scorer when his team needs. It may take Walker some time to get in the rotation at Morehouse, but his work ethic and leadership should shine as soon as he steps foot on campus.
2020 Poly wing Ty Bethea committed and signed with Harford Community College. At 6-foot-5, Bethea has good size and plus athleticism, which should allow him to contribute right away at Harford. He spent his high school career surrounded by high major prospects so with a little development and experience, Bethea could bloom into an intriguing name for four-year schools.
2021 St. Frances forward Terrance Butler Jr. committed to Maryland for football. The 6-foot-5 forward didn’t see a ton of time for the Panthers on the hardwood last year, but was a standout on the gridiron.
OFFERS
2021 Mt. Zion guard Jordan Foster received an offer from Austin Peay. Foster is a 6-foot-2 lefty guard with plus athleticism and ability to score from three and around the rim. He should continue to see an uptick in his recruitment as he is prepares for a post-grad prep season with Mt. Zion.
2022 Poly guard Bryce Lindsay Bryce Lindsay 6'2" | CG St. Frances | 2022 State MD received an offer from Austin Peay. The 6-foot-2 guard is one of the best shooters you’ll find in the mid-Atlantic and will get to show why this season as he takes on an increased role with the Engineers.
2023 Poly wing Kwame Evans Kwame Evans 6'9" | SF Montverde | 2023 State #20 Nation FL Jr. received an offer from Texas A&M. Evans has elite length and stands 6-foot-9. A proven lefty sniper from three, Evans’ versatility and potential has him considered as a top player in his class nationally. The Aggies are the latest to offer, but Evans has quite the list established including Auburn, DePaul, Georgetown, George Washington, San Diego St., St. John’s, Virginia Tech and Xavier.
2023 St. John’s (DC) forward Amani Hansberry Amani Hansberry 6'7" | C Mount St. Joseph | 2023 State #52 Nation MD was offered by Texas A&M. The 6-foot-7 rising sophomore was a bully as a freshman and had stints during games where he dominated the paint on both ends. Similar to Evans, Hansberry is considered to be one of the top prospects in his class as he also holds offers from DePaul, Rhode Island and Virginia Tech.
