One takeaway from this group is the potential to see almost of these guys playing Varsity basketball their first years of high school. Take a look and see who are the future guys to watch from Ohio/Indiana.
Timothy Carpenter (Team Flyght)- Already extremely big for an incoming freshman. Has great build. Defensively moves his feet quickly and efficiently. Turns defenders and cuts off drives. Has a lot of potential as he continues to grow.
Anthony Garrett (INB 2024 Elite)- Long armed interior presence. Tough to boxout due to his size and motor. Needs to work on his physicality but overall has a high ceiling.
Donovan Hardin (Team Flyght)- Another decent sized forward. Does a solid job on the defensive end, but needs to finish out plays and not get caught standing. Solid midrange shooter.
Grant Heyrath (INB 2024 Elite)- True Center. Showed he could play with his back to the basket. Backs down smaller defenders easily and specifically impressed with his quick spin move. Finished with both hands. If he continues to add to his post moves, he easily is a next level prospect.
Javen Vaughn (Team Flyght)- Dead eye shooter. Small but creates scoring opportunities for himself and others. Handles the basketball well, keeping a low and controlled dribble.
Braden Walters (GPP UA Rise 2023)- Plays up with a sophomore team. Elevates and combines this with his athleticism to be a mismatch waiting to happen. Lengthy. Utilizes his size and speed to get past and through defenses.
