Guard Tommy Chatman is leaving NSU, Now Available
After a standout freshman year at Northern State starting all 32 games, former Park Center guard Tommy Chatman is now available as a transfer. College coaches, take a look!
Tommy Chatman is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and Park Center High School. Tommy averaged 13.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game as a senior shooting 62.6 percent from the floor and 73.8 percent from the free throw line. Chatman led Park Center to third in the state in the 2018-19 season.
Chatman then went to Northern State for his freshman and started all 32 games as a true freshman. Chatman averaged 8.6 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game. Chatman had 14 games scoring in double figures. Chatman was the floor general who led his team to a 26-6 record. This led to Tommy being a freshmen of the year finalist. Had a career high 25 points against Bemidji State.
Tommy has long been considered a coachable player and we at Prep Hoops have long considered him in that area as a D1 prospect/top NSIC player. He was a top 15 ranked player prospect as a senior and after a year in the NSIC we think even higher of Chatman. Here is his freshman highlight video….
