Here is our Film Room: 2022 Central Illinois Prospects Pt 1!
Jalen Quinn Jalen Quinn 6'3" | PG Tuscola | 2022 State #136 Nation IL (Tuscola)
Quinn is a 6’3” point guard that has good strength. Plays small school competition, but absolutely dominated as a sophomore averaging 21 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4 dimes, and 3 steals per game. Crisp ball handler with some shake. Can also attack with strong straight line drives where he blows past his defender. Finishes well with either hand at the cup especially on runners. Creative passer in the lane throwing bullet passes off a live dribble. Sound form on perimeter jump shot from three and pulling up in the mid-range. Mid-major plus/high-major prospect!

Gus Lucas Gus Lucas 6'5" | PF Washington | 2022 IL (Washington)
This undersized 6’5” strong bodied left handed power forward with broad shoulders is an at or below the rim athlete. Nifty finisher inside that can take a bump at the rim. Can hit an occasional three. High level baseball prospect. On the hardwood would fit in at a small college.

David Hubbard David Hubbard 6'4" | SG Champaign Centennial | 2022 State IL (St. Thomas More)
Interesting prospect here. Listed at 6’3” with a long and rangy frame. Averaged 9.5 points per game last season as a sophomore. Flashes some intriguing tools. Capable shot maker that has a high release on his jumper. Slick handles and smooth acceleration. Active hands defensively recording 1.6 steals per game. Could emerge as a D2 type prospect, but is more of a high end small college guy right now.
Amarion Nimmers Amarion Nimmers 6'2" | PG Rock Island | 2022 State IL (Rock Island)
Nimmers is a rangy 6’1” point guard that is a pretty good athlete. Capable shooter that can hit threes with a high release on his jump shot. Best as a spot up shooter from three. Athletic finisher around the hoop. Has some projectability. D2 prospect with the chance to elevate.

Jeremiah Talton Jeremiah Talton 6'6" | SF Quincy Senior | 2022 State IL (Quincy)
Talton has excellent size on the perimeter for the two guard spot at 6’6” with a long and lanky frame that can add some strength moving forward. His biggest asset at this stage is his three point shooting. Free and easy release on triples off the catch. Very repeatable mechanics and excellent shot prep. This past season he drilled 56 total threes shooting 40% from beyond the arc. Moves well without the ball to get open coming off screens. Plus athlete that is explosive around the hoop. Quick catching dump off passes on the baseline and finishing them from his teammates. Also rebounds very well for a young guard recording 6 boards a game as a sophomore. Particularly effective getting on the offensive glass for second chance points. Also does work inside against smaller perimeter defenders taking them to the block for scores in the paint. Solid ball handler that uses his athleticism off the bounce. Finishes pretty well through contact. Defensively he might have set the record for most number of charges I have seen in a highlight video. On the year he recorded 22 charges taken. Also uses length getting in passing lanes and can block an occasional shot in help defense. High-majors and mid-majors need to have him on their radars now!

Elijah Reese Elijah Reese 6'4" | PG Rock Island | 2022 State IL (Rock Island)
Reese is a 6’3” rangy point guard that is good pushing the ball. Quality athlete that is good at getting in the lane finishing with acrobatic layups. Catch and shoot threat from three. Potential D2 prospect.

Kamron Causey (Manual)
Causey is a 6’4” small forward who saw key minutes on a veteran Manual squad. Good frame with long arms. He is at his best in transition finishing with euro steps. Converts at the rim with either hand effectively. Decent passer for a wing. Small college player at this time.

Jermaine Knaff (Quincy)
Knaff is a 6’2” shooting guard with decent length. The two guard is a below the rim athlete with a solid skill level. Most likely a small college player.

Sam Bradbury Sam Bradbury 6'8" | C Mattoon | 2022 State IL (Mattoon)
Bradbury jumped on our radar early in the process as he flashed a year ago in a shootout we saw Mattoon. He is a big boy at 6’8” 257 pounds. Plays with power on the offensive end. Seals well on the block and also likes quick spin moves. Shoots a high percentage from the field shooting 76% as a sophomore. Good area rebounder that snatches them. Not a super explosive athlete, but he is a pretty good defender in the post and moves well for his size. D2s should take an early look.

Jaksen Braun Jaksen Braun 6'5" | SF Charleston | 2022 IL (Charleston)
This 6’5” small forward has good size and strength on the perimeter. Has an inside-outside game. Solid spot up shooter that can also take smaller defenders in the post. Pretty good all-around skill set. Rebounds good for wing. D3 prospect.

Byron Carlo (Home School)
Carlo is a 5’10” point guard that is home schooled. The video we saw was mostly from him with Champaign Heat. Best asset in his game is his passing. Makes quick passes in the lane dumping off to his teammates for quality looks. Plays with speed in the open floor. Small college player.
