Here are ten things to know in ABC order via player….
Kendall Blue Kendall Blue 6'6" | SG East Ridge | 2022 State #242 Nation MN of East Ridge/D1 Minnesota. The biggest thing for Kendall is that he was offered today by George Washington and Wyoming. But Blue also heard from high majors Creighton, Butler, Minnesota, Marquette, and Cincinnati.
Alonzo Dodd Alonzo Dodd 6'2" | CG South St Paul | 2022 State MN of South St. Paul/Grassroots Sizzle. Dodd is a player I hold in high regard because of his effort, skill, and work rate, but today he received an even higher volume of calls than expected. Northern Iowa, NDSU, Colorado State, and California were included in his list of calls.
Evan Dushek Evan Dushek 6'8" | C Owatonna | 2022 State MN of Owatonna/Minnesota Select 17u. Evan has grown to 6-foot-8 and hat has opened a world of chances for him because this is one of the most aggressive, and nasty true four men that you will see. Evan has heard from Bemidji State, Minnesota-Duluth, and North Dakota today.
Tre Holloman Tre Holloman 6'2" | PG Cretin-Derham Hall | 2022 State #57 Nation MN of Cretin-Derham Hall/Howard Pulley. In my opinion – and in the opinion of Tom Izzo apparently – Tre is underrated by the other national services. To me Tre is a top 50 level talent and his list of calls today tells that kind of story. Arkansas, Iowa State Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue, and Virginia.
Ayden McDonald Ayden McDonald 6'4" | PG Omaha Central | 2022 State MN of Hibbing/Wisconsin Playmakers North. The ultra skill of 6-foot-3 Ayden McDonald Ayden McDonald 6'4" | PG Omaha Central | 2022 State MN has earned quality attention. North Dakota State, North Dakota, Augustana, Bemidji State, and Minnesota-Duluth all made contact
Elvis Nnaji Elvis Nnaji 6'8" | C Hopkins | 2022 State #215 Nation MN of Hopkins/D1 Minnesota. When the 2022 National rankings are released by Prep Hoops in the coming days, Nnaji will be a top 150 guy. Today the teams that offered – Minnesota and Marquette – plus Tennessee, Arizona, and Iowa State have called so far as well.
BJ Omot BJ Omot 6'8" | PF Mankato East | 2022 State #231 Nation MN of Mankato East/D1 Minnesota. Omot is a player that I have long thought would receive D1 high major calls and today my curiousness about that was taken to a new level when Omot heard from Butler in addition to Appalachian State, Bryant, and South Dakota State.
Samuel Rensch Samuel Rensch 6'6" | SF Hutchinson | 2022 State MN of Hutchinson/Minnesota Fury. A month ago I watched a film of Sam and thought “that is the closest comparison to Cody Schilling that I have seen!” Mind you I thought Cody was a top five player in the 2008 class and surely a D1 player (went to Augustana anyway). Great to see Sam get an offer from Augustana today, the place where Cody played.
Donovan Smith Donovan Smith 5'10" | PG Minnehaha Academy | 2022 OH of Minnehaha Academy/Grassroots Sizzle. Smith has taken calls from D1s Hampton, Western Illinois, Morgan State, and Saint Thomas (most likely D1) thus far. Smith was a top five scorer for the Redhawks.
Dylan Wheeler Dylan Wheeler 6'3" | SG Mounds View | 2022 State MN of Mounds View/Minnesota Heat. Wheeler has long been thought of as a scholarship prospect. However, today Wheeler was offered by Augustana and usually when played are offered early by Augustana that is a forecast for big things ahead.
