I’m going to give you 5 junior-to-be players that Division 1 schools shouldn’t forget about. These 5 players may or may not have heard from these programs. But even if they did, they should hear from more.
Rylan Bowens Rylan Bowens 6'7" | PF Cass Technical | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Detroit Cass Tech)
D1’s should get in on this young man quickly. He plays bigger than his height and is tough as nails. Bowens is an athletic player that can rise up for a rebound. It’s not about stats for Bowens, it’s about W’s, and he does the little things that get them.
Robert Davis Jr. Robert Davis Jr. 6'6" | SG Hamtramck | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Farmington)
Davis ended the season showing what most scouts thought all along…..the kid is a big time talent. Davis has a very high ceiling that coaches at the next level will love. He’s a natural big shot taker and big shot maker.
Calvin Marshall Calvin Marshall 6'6" | SF Western International | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Detroit Edison)
Marshall is the flat out athleticism of an elite prospect. He can get up the floor quickly with his long strides. Marshall is a huge threat in transition and a nasty finisher at the the rim.
DeCorian Temple DeCorian Temple 6'7" | PF Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Ypsilanti Lincoln)
Temple is probably the biggest ‘sleeper’ of this group, but I really think some schools might want to give him a look. He’s an energy player that seemed to bring life to his team when he stepped on the floor. Temple has a college ready physique and is a physical rebounder.
Derrick Voltz Derrick Voltz 6'4" | CG Carrollton | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Carrollton)
Mark my words, again – VOLTZ SHOULD GET LOOKS FROM D1’S. The kid is lightning in a bottle. He’ll put up points in bunches and will do it from anywhere on the floor. Voltz can attack the rim off the dribble, hit a mid range floater, or bury a triple from a couple feet behind the arc.
