Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV 6’0 Chosen Few 2024 (#7PHN 2024) – Adem made a COD that I’m still thinking about. He has an underrated handle, only because his shooting is lights out. Shot it well off the bounce all weekend. Adem is also starting to become one of the top P&R players in the state.
David Poole David Poole 5'10" | PG Valley | 2023 State NV 5’10 Iso Elite 2023 (#10PHN 2023) – Poole showed good explosion and finishing ability. He didn’t shoot it all that well, but showed that he can be productive even when his shot isn’t falling.
Jamison McCall Jamison McCall 6'0" | CG Spring Valley | 2024 State NV 5’10 Chosen Few 2024 (#14PHN 2024) – McCall was one of the most impressive players during the weekend. He’s a sniper with a hair trigger and good follow through. Chosen few played a lot with a 3 guard lineup, and McCall showed that he can be equally effective on or off the ball.
Nakalayah Fabello 5’10 Legacy Elite 2023 (#13PHN 2023) (featured image) – Fabello put on a gritty effort this weekend. I love evaluating kids when they aren’t necessarily at their best, and Fabello reemphasized why. He made several winning plays including knocking down late game free throws, and creating shots for teammates. Pound for pound he was the toughest guy on the court this weekend.
Michael Socorro Michael Socorro 5'8" | PG Sierra Vista | 2022 State NV 5’8 OGB 2022 (#48PHN 2022) – Socorro played a good floor game all weekend. He limited his mistakes and made shots when the defense left him open. I thought his maturity, talent and 3 point shooting was a big key to OGB getting past Chosen Few in the championship game.
Tyler Parr 6’1 Swag Elite 2023 (#21PHNC 2023) – Parr played solid all week. He was a nice compliment to his backcourt mate Colton Dukes. Parr, handled passed and shot depending on what and when the club needed it.
Isiaac Boykin Isiaac Boykin 6'2" | SG Desert Pines | 2023 State NV 6’2 OGB 2023 (#21PHN 2023) – For my money Boykin was the best overall player on the weekend. He’s more of a combo, but he did display a good handle and a little wiggle. What he did best was shoot the basketball, as he showed off range, as well as a tendency to get to the rim and finish through contact. He helped OGB to the championship.
