#1 – Alex Fudge Alex Fudge 6'8" | SF Lee | 2021 State #40 Nation FL | 6-8 | Lee
The No. 5th ranked player in the 2021 class by Prep Hoops Florida, Alex Fudge Alex Fudge 6'8" | SF Lee | 2021 State #40 Nation FL is really trending in the right direction over the last year and a half. He averaged 16.0, 9.9 RPG and 3.0 BPG as Lee fell in the Class 5A region final to eventual state champion Rickards. Fudge is a smooth ballhandler, lengthy attacker, good mid-range shooter and true shot blocker. He holds offers from LSU, Vanderbilt, Georgia, UF, Alabama, Texas, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech and others. The sky is the limit for Fudge and his progress as he continues to add muscle to his frame. Highlights via Hudl.
#2 – Jashawne Joseph Jashawne Joseph 6'8" | SF North Florida Educational | 2021 State FL | 6-8 | North Florida Educational
A point forward in a big man’s body at 6’8″, the Toronto native Jashawne Joseph Jashawne Joseph 6'8" | SF North Florida Educational | 2021 State FL is getting it done at North Florida Educational. He has no offers yet, but he’s drawn interet from the likes of Detroit, Miami of Ohio, Ohio, Duquesne, Oakland and Portland. Joseph still has a lot of work to do as a consistent offensive weapon, but he’s very good leading an offense and defensively. Expect him to take a leap forward this season.
#3- Bryce Turner Bryce Turner 6'5" | SF Andrew Jackson | 2021 State FL | 6-5 | Andrew Jackson
Bryce Turner Bryce Turner 6'5" | SF Andrew Jackson | 2021 State FL officially transferred from Sandalwood to Andrew Jackson on Monday. The 6’5″ wing played in the Team Parsons Virtual Player Evaluation Series this past weekend at Potter’s House Christian in Jacksonville. He was shooting it well and active. Turner is fresh off a junior campaign where he led his team with 15.7 PPG and 7.8 RPG. He is a true athlete who plays at a good pace. He can stand to be more aggressive. Highlights via Hudl.
#4 – Markel Allums Markel Allums 6'4" | CG Oakleaf | 2021 State FL | 6-4 | Oakleaf
Doubling as a guard and forward, Markel Allums Markel Allums 6'4" | CG Oakleaf | 2021 State FL is a very good prospect out of Orange Park Oakleaf. After earning heavy minutes as a sophomore on the varsity squad, he upped the ante as he averaged 11.1 PPG and 5.0 RPG. A strong-bodied athlete, Allums can get to the bucket on his own and hit the mid-range and 3 well. His jumper can become more consistent but he’s on his way already (VIDEO).
#5 – Chris Victor | 6-3 |Terry Parker
Doubling as a safety/wide receiver for the football team, Chris Victor is solid all-around on the basketball court as well. He earned heavy minutes as a junior after playing in just a few games as an underclassman. Victor averaged 10.4 PPG and 10.2 RPG for a competitive Parker team. He scored in every single game, adding 17 double-digit outings (15 of which were double doubles) led by a 18-point, 10-rebound game against Mandarin. Victor is going to be a major factor once again this fall.
#6- Ivan Lawson Ivan Lawson 6'6" | CG Impact Christain Academy | 2021 State FL | 6-6 | Impact Christian
On an unselfish Impact Christian squad that has been two consecutive Class 2A state tournaments, Ivan Lawson Ivan Lawson 6'6" | CG Impact Christain Academy | 2021 State FL comes in mid-pack due to his upside. If he can put it all together, he will be a dangerous wing. He’s already loaded with speed and athleticness but he hasn’t been a consistent scorer. Averaging 7.2 PPG, Lawson had a 17-point, 7-rebound performance against Westside and a 14-point, 10-rebound game against Bolles last season. Look for Lawson to continue to work. Highlights via Hudl.
#7 – Gary Anderson | 6-4 | Bishop Kenny
Over at Bishop Kenny, Gary Anderson is a name to remember. He was active in many spurts, averaging 7.2 PPG and 5.3 RPG last season. His mid-range jumper is definitely his best asset and he’s able to get up and down the floor as a lead ballhandler or off man. Becoming more assertive as an attacker will lift his value this fall for Bishop Kenny. Highlights via Hudl.
#8 – Tylen McKinnon | 6-3 | Crescent City
Over at Crescent City High, Tylen McKinnon serves as a versatile player who can help at positions 1 through 3 on the court. He averaged a steady 14.6 PPG and 4.5 rebounds per game, recording two 26-point outings against St. Augustine and Interlachen. McKinnon is a skilled player on both ends of the floor and is someone who is always looking to push the cause. Highlights via Hudl.
#9 – Jasper Clements | 6-3 | Impact Christian
A shooter by nature, Jasper Clements announced his transfer from Ribault to Impact Christian this past weekend. He’s a volume shooter, who handles the rock with confidence and is able to mix it up on both ends of the floor. I like the way Clements moves the ball around and plays unselfishly, he will fit in well at his new school. He averaged 9.5 PPG and 3.5 APG with a season-best 22 points against Georgia Morrow. Clements always plays with a purpose.
#10 – Dekembay Carn | 6-4 | First Coast
A bloomer at this point, Dekembay Carn is long and skinny but he has some clear upside at First Coast. He had five of his seven double-digit performances over the last nine games of the season. Nothing was better than his 17-point, 12-rebound night against Fleming Island as he shot 8-of-11 from the field overall. Being a downhill attacker and finishing strong will be key for Carn this fall.
Other players to watch:
Darian Johnson Darian Johnson 6'2" | PF Bartram Trail | 2021 State FL | 6-2 | Bartram Trail
You could list Darian Johnson Darian Johnson 6'2" | PF Bartram Trail | 2021 State FL as a point guard, shooting guard or small forward at many different times. He’s part of a versatile crop in the Jacksonville area and for Bartram Trail specifically, he’s been very successful. A 3-year varsity contributor, Johnson got his feet wet as a freshman before averaging 10.3 PPG as a sophomore and 9.4 PPG as a junior. He scored in all but one game and had 12 double-digit games led by an 18-point performance against Creekside. Taking more efficient jumpers will help his game.
Tyler Banker | 6-2 | Seacoast Christian
A guard/wing, Tyler Banker was steady for 2A program Seacoast Christian this past season, averaging 10.7 PPG, 5.4 RPG and 4.0 SPG. He scored in every game and had 12 games in double digits which included two double doubles. Banker should earn heavy minutes again this year. Highlights via Hudl.
Joey Farmer | 6-3 | Baker County
At Glen St. Mary Baker County, Joey Farmer continues to be a playmaker for his group. He’s a core defender who looks to generate steals and block shots. His offensive attack helps and he can play down low as a smaller but strong center for the 1A team. Highlights via Hudl.
Ian Schofield | 6-4 | Keystone Heights
Playing both football (defensive end/tight end and kicker) and basketball, Ian Schofield is essential to two of the biggest sports at the school. Basketball wise, the 6’4″ strong wing/power forward averaged 6.2 PPG and 6.4 RPG as he scored in every game and had more than three rebounds in all 25 games but one. Highlights via Hudl.
