Several sophomores from the Ottawa Kent Conferences made a name for themselves this past season as key players to watch as they continue to develop in their careers. Below, I’ll break down the top 10 prospects from around the Grand Rapids area in the 2022 class.

Kyler continues to gain momentum as not only one of the top prospects in the area in the 2022 class, but also nationally, drawing interest from several major Division I programs. Kyler has a sturdy 6’4" frame with the skill set of a guard who can manufacture his own shot off the dribble. As a sophomore, Kyler was the go-to guy to get a bucket for Northview, and he can do so in a number of ways. Kyler’s main strengths are slashing and finishing in the paint, showing he can convert tough buckets off a dribble drive. Kyler also has a smooth jumper, which should only get better as he enters his junior season.
