Tyler Stezowski Tyler Stezowski 6'1" | CG Hamilton | 2021 State MI | 6’1″ CG | Hamilton
Tyler’s a dynamic combo guard that can do a number of things well on both sides of the court. A big reason, in my opinion, as to why he earned All-Conference honors this past season is his passing ability. You can see in his tape that he is a gifted passer who can slow things down, even in transition. Another key strength of Tyler’s is his willingness to seek out contact on his drives. He uses his body well and has the athletic ability to hang in and convert tough baskets in the paint.
George Hatchett George Hatchett 5'10" | CG Forest Hills Central | 2021 State MI | 5’10” CG | Forest Hills Central
George is a menace on the defensive end and has a habit of giving opposing guards fits. His lateral quickness stood out to me as a skill that separates him from other guards in the area. He anticipates passing lanes and gets out on the break in a hurry, leading to transition opportunities for the Rangers. Expect opposing scouting reports to value ball security when going up against George this upcoming season.
Sam Versteeg Sam Versteeg 5'9" | PG GR Christian | 2021 State MI | 5’10” CG | Grand Rapids Christian
Sam is a crafty lefty whose game has an aura of cool. His play suggests that he typically doesn’t force the issue and lets the game come to him. Playing on an uber-talented Grand Rapids Christian team, Sam uses his steady demeanor to facilitate the offense and take his shots when the opportunity arises. In addition to his passing ability, Sam is a knock-down shooter and has shown the ability to dribble out of extended pressure. Expect Sam to be a key component of the Eagles offense in 2020-21.
Jager Haverdink Jager Haverdink 6'1" | CG Hamilton | 2021 State MI | 6’1″ CG | Hamilton
Jager is an excellent shooter who thrives in spot-up situations around the perimeter. Jager has also shown the ability to drive past defenders who close-out over aggressively. His ability to use both hands in these situations is something that he can build off of and likely find himself amongst All-Conference considerations in the OK Green for a second consecutive season.
Payton Lee Payton Lee 5'10" | CG Wyoming | 2021 State MI | 5’10” CG | Wyoming
Peyton is an up-and-coming guard for a Wyoming program that took the area by storm a season ago. He thrives in fast-paced situations and can score in a number of different ways. Peyton has a smooth jumper from the mid-range extended. On the defensive end, he is a plus defender who has the quickness to match up with most guards in the area. Expect Peyton to have a larger role in the Wolves offense this season.
