The basketball has been so refreshing to spectators and players. We are also starting to see some players just jump out with major potential and skill. It is likely a mixture of the lack of being able to watch events and the fact that these kids are putting some major work in.
A lot of Division 1 talent is in the building.
Here is a list of bigs:
6’8 Keba Keita Keba Keita 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2022 State #157 Nation UT (American Heritage) 2022
The incoming junior is a beast. He is just strong and hard to stop on the blocks. The contact doesn’t bother him. He has a big year ahead of him. Division 1 potential for a player that is raw.
6’7 Fousseyni Traore Fousseyni Traore 6'7" | SF Wasatch Academy | 2021 State UT (Wasatch Academy) 2021
The SF has really put in work since we saw him as a freshman. He is probably the strongest player in the camp as he is basically a man amongst men. He used his body and wide shoulder to clear out defenders and he is virtually unstoppable on the blocks. He is a MM prospect.
6’8 Cameron Brimhall Cameron Brimhall 6'8" | PF Lone Peak | 2021 State UT (Lone Peak) 2021
Cameron has a complete game as a stretch 4. He runs the floor well and he also has the IQ to position himself to bring down those O-Boards. Has the game to make an impact at the next level in a LM/MM setting.
6’9 Carter Welling Carter Welling 6'10" | PF Corner Canyon | 2021 State UT (Corner Canyon) 2021
Carter is a player that seems to keep growing as he has really grown into his body as well. He really has his feet under him defensively and offensively. His footwork continues to improve. Great options off the pick n’ roll. He is a LM D1 prospect because of his high level skill.
6’8 Jaden Brownell Jaden Brownell 6'8" | SF Alta | 2021 State UT (Alta) 2021
One of the most slept on prospects in the state. He has LM Division 1 talent. He is heavenly skilled inside and out. Once you see him play in person you could see his stretch 4 game and how it can translate to the next level.
6’11 Preston Squire Preston Squire 6'11" | PF Layton | 2021 State UT (Layton)
Preston is another player that could land at a LM Division 1 program. His size and shot altering ability is just impressive. Can’t beat his size and raw skill.
6’7 Jaxon Kohler (American Fork)
The most impressive footwork for a Class of 2022 kid you will see around. He has a grown man game. He knows how to alter his style of play on bothe ends to get the better of his counter part. Can score with an array of moves. Solid D1 prospect, has HM game.
