With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2023 Shooting Guards in Caleb Dewey Caleb Dewey 6'3" | SF Edinburgh | 2023 State IN , Christian Johnson Christian Johnson 6'1" | SG Parke Heritage | 2023 IN , and Cooper Horn Cooper Horn 6'2" | SG Columbus North | 2023 State IN .

Stats: 14.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.8 apg
Thoughts: Dewey is a bigger sized, 2023 prospect that plays with a good amount of toughness. He can play a few different spots on the floor but his primary position will probably end up being as a shooting guard. He is a tough rebounder and is willing to really go at the rim on the offensive end in the paint. He is the type of player with good enough handles to run the point as well. His outside shot is nice with a good release. Dewey has got a ton of different things he can work with on the basketball court.
Christian Johnson

– 6’1 SG 2023 – Parke Heritage (IN)
Stats: 16.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 2.3 apg
Thoughts: Johnson is a bigger guard with a good amount of talent. He is a playmaker for sure and has some good scoring ability. Real solid shooter and can both shoot off the pull-up and off the catch well. His effort level is pretty high and made opposing players make mistakes a lot of the time. He has a smooth drive and finish. Defensively, he can be a lock down guy as he has decent lateral speed, some length, and a ton of effort. There is a huge amount of upside in Johnson.

– 6’1 SG 2023 – Columbus North (IN)
Stats: 7.3 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 1.3 apg
Thoughts: Horn is a tall, thin guard with a good amount of skill already. Really can play both guard spots but will probably be more suited as a 2G in the long term. Pretty good ball handling and has a good feel for finishing against traffic. Does not really force anything too crazy and is solid shooting off the catch. Adding strength would be great for him as he is likely to continue to grow. Horn seems like a player that can get better and better every year. Very interesting prospect to keep an eye on.
