With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Point Guards in Connor Gioia Connor Gioia 5'9" | PG Carmel | 2021 State IN , Paris Roberson Paris Roberson 5'10" | PG Gary West | 2021 State IN , and Sean Black Sean Black 5'10" | PG Warren Central | 2021 State IN .

Stats: 5.6 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 3.5 apg
Thoughts: Gioia is a true lead guard that looks to get his teammates involved before anything. His passes are on point and he can make a case as one of the better true point guards in the 2021 class. On defense, he is not afraid to go up against the taller and sometimes better players. He’s not going to produce a ton of scoring but he is capable of knocking down some big threes. He has shown that if he needs to, he can track down some rebounds. Gioia is an unsung hero for Carmel.

– 5’10 PG 2021 – Gary West (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Roberson is a tough point guard with a good amount of on-court IQ. Is real solid at creating his own shot and is pretty good shooting off the catch. Looks as though he has a pass first mentality but can also give his team buckets if he needs to. Great as an on-ball defender and creates offense from defense. Will probably stay more on the ball at the next level as he is a good ball hawk. Really like Roberson’s playing style. Should be in for a big senior season coming up.

– 5’10 SG 2021 – Warren Central (IN)
Stats: 11.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 3.0 apg
Thoughts: Black is a smaller lead guard who plays with a lot of speed and toughness. Can really get up and down the court and is able to see the floor pretty well also. He is a great passer and has the ability to drive and kick out to his open teammates if he can. Good outside jumper as well. He has done a good job in filling out his frame more and getting stronger over the past few years. Overall, Black is the type of player that can always get better. He is going to be a big factor for a new look Warren Central team this next season.
