Lets take a look at some players from the Midlands (Richland County-Lexington County) area who will make a big impact this season. Prep Hoops was looking to see some more kids this past spring but wasn’t able to do with the Covid-19 Pandemic. Keep in mind we will keep plugging away and we haven’t forgot about you at all.

Jackson 6’7 is ranked the #1 player in the Palmetto State 2023 Class. Jackson will really get his chance this coming season for the Blazers with the graduation of JaVon Benson (South Carolina Signee). Jackson a very versatile forward has great length and the ability to run the floor well. Jackson has the ability to alter and challenge shots on the defensive end.

Gardner averaged 4.9 ppg and 4.6 rebounds last season for the War Eagles. The War Eagles won their 3rd straight Class 2A State Championship under Head Coach Dion Bethea. Gardner is very versatile on the floor with his ability to defend out on the perimeter. Gardner should see more of a bigger role this coming season for the War Eagles. Gardner is ranked #4 in the Palmetto State 2023 Class.
Jarvis Green Jarvis Green 5'11" | PG Dutch Fork | 2023 SC – Dutch Fork HS (pictured on the front)
Green is tough nosed kid for the Silver Foxes. Green a point guard isn’t afraid to mix it up at time with his toughness on the floor. Green averaged 8.8 ppg last season as the Silver Foxes finished the season at (21-10). The Silver Foxes lost in the Class 5A State Championship Game to Dorman HS. Green scored 25 points in the Class 5A Lower State Championship Game vs Conway HS this past February.

White a point guard can really get the ball up the floor in a hurry. White averaged 3.3 ppg last season for the War Eagles. Look for him and Gardner to play bigger roles this season for the War Eagles.

Parker sees good minutes for the Falcons and Head Coach Josh Staley. Parker a guard has the ability to knockdown open shots. Parker always seems to be around the ball and in the right position to make a play.

Townsend a running back on the football team brings a toughness to the Falcons backcourt. Townsend logged a lot of minutes in the Lower State Championship Game for the Falcons. Townsend really can defend on the ball.

Oree a guard will play a bigger role this season for the Raiders after playing in 23 games last season. Oree averaged 2.3 ppg for the Raiders last season. Keenan HS has won back to back Class 3A State Championships.
