Manasquan’s Ben Roy Ben Roy 6'2" | PG Manasquan | 2022 State #218 Nation NJ has already been honored with Shore Conference Player of the Year and Second Team All-State selection in his second varsity campaign. Will Richardson Will Richardson 6'2" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2022 State #76 Nation NJ and Mark Armstrong Mark Armstrong 6'2" | PG St. Peter's Prep | 2022 State #39 Nation NJ squared off for the Non-Public A South title and were both named to Third Team All-State. The guard class in New Jersey is loaded, but there are some talented small forwards in the class as well. Here are the top wings in the 2022 class.
Justin Hawkins Justin Hawkins 6'7" | SF Life Center Academy | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 Life Center Academy
Hawkins is a true point forward as he has the ability to run the offense. He can beat his defender off the bounce and knows how to finish through contact. Hawkins has a good handle and rarely plays out of control with the ball in his hands. He has a chance to have a big 2020-21 campaign as Hawkins gets another chance to acclimate to Life Center Academy’s offensive system.
Daniel Skillings Daniel Skillings 6'5" | SG Roman Catholic | 2022 State PA , 6’5 St. Joseph (Hamm.)
Skillings will be a shooting guard at the next level, but was more of a small forward for St. Joseph (Hammonton) last season. The lanky 6’5 prospect is a big-time athlete who knows how to finish above the rim. Skillings has a smooth looking release on his shot and can get hot from behind the arc. He is a good rebounder and uses his length to block shots on defense. Skillings will be looking for a new home, where he will give his new team an athletic, lanky wing capable of filling up the box score.
Donovan Long Donovan Long 6'6" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’6 Marist
Long had to play down for Marist last season, but his college future is on the perimeter. The 6’6 forward is an extremely hard worker and never takes a play off on both ends of the floor. Long attacks the basket strong and knows how to finish through contact. He is a good post defender and uses his length to alter shots around the basket. Long will make his next high school coach happy as he provides his new team with a talented prospect with a nonstop motor.
Chase Clarke Chase Clarke 6'5" | SF Newark Academy | 2022 State NJ , 6’5 Newark Academy
Clarke was one of the most productive players in the state last season as he finished in the top 10 in scoring and rebounding. He plays with great footwork in the post and knows how to finish through contact. Clarke has a good handle and is an underrated passer. He is the top rebounder in the 2022 class and is also a good shot-blocker. Clarke will be looking to duplicate his success in 2020-21, while also leading Newark Academy to a strong season.
Jack Seidler Jack Seidler 6'5" | SF Marlboro | 2022 State NJ , 6’5 Marlboro
The Mustangs will be one of the favorites to take home the Central Jersey Group 4 title with Seidler coming back. The 6’5 forward has a nice touch around the basket and has a good face-up game. Seidler can beat his man off the dribble, but also stretch the defense with his shooting. He is a solid rebounder and plays with good positioning on the defensive end. Marlboro was seconds away from taking home the Central Jersey Group 4 title, which should fuel Seidler and the Mustangs next season.
