Continue ReadingThis is our third installment of the class of 2022 in the city league CHSAA. So as you can see it is a loaded, talented class. We still have other schools from the other boroughs, that are going to be added to our reports in July. So it could very well be recruiting heaven in NYC. This list consists of players who might be entering their first year of varsity ball, or were stuck behind talented upperclassmen last season. So this is their year. All these players are worthy of at least D3 heavy interest and D2 programs checking in.
Andy Kim 6”3. JR (2022) IONA PREP HS
Crafty ballhandler with excellent court vision. Has shown that he can finish at the rim. Working on his quickness and becoming a more consistent shooter.
John McCabe 6”3. JR (2022) MOLLOY HS
A strong player with a really good frame. With the way he can shoot the ball minutes should come his way.
Chance Morrish. 5”11. JR (2022) ST. FRANCIS PREP
A good shooter from the perimeter. Has good range. Has the ability to get off his own shot. A young player who should get stronger physically which will only help his game.
Key’Sean Maynard. 6”0. JR (2022) ST. FRANCIS PREP
A transfer from Long Island powerhouse Brentwood HS. Could be the pg of the future for his new school. High IQ. Quick first step. Can get to rim or drain the three. Working on his mid-range game.
Supreme Niles. 5”10 JR (2022) XAVERIAN HS
Explosive athlete. Gets to the rim and finishes through contact. A disciplined defender who can flat out score. Working on his three point shooting and playmaking skills .
Matt Smith. 6”3. JR (2022) XAVERIAN HS
A versatile player. Has a good feel for the game. Excellent footwork inside. Can score with both hands. A tough player and it shows on the glass. Needs to improve on his overall shooting.
